Not Tom Brady’s Raiders: Deion Sanders’ favorite team for Shedeur between Titans, Browns and Giants in 2025 NFL Draft

With the buzz and speculation around the 2025 NFL Draft on the rise, Deion Sanders made a surprising admission after dismissing Tom Brady and the Las Vegas Raiders as his favorite option for son, Shedeur Sanders.

The 2025 NFL Draft is officially one month away, and there are little to no certainties about where Shedeur Sanders will land in the league. With the crucial date in Green Bay closing in, Deion Sanders named a surprising option as his favorite destination for the Colorado Buffaloes‘ quarterback. While most rumors link Shedeur to Tom Brady and the Las Vegas Raiders, Primetime chose a different option between the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants.

The three latter franchises hold the top three overall picks in the upcoming Draft, each in serious need of a franchise quarterback for the future. Shedeur could step into any of these organizations and help shape their future, though, as with any draft pick, there is always a risk-reward ratio.

The Raiders own the sixth overall selection, following the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars. Las Vegas is on a bit of a jam, however. The Raiders have an urgent QB need, but don’t control their own destiny, as they are behind other teams with similar shopping lists heading to the Draft.

While the thought of Shedeur being under the tutelage and leadership of Brady excites Deion, the Hall of Fame cornerback chose another franchise as the ideal team for his son to be drafted to.

Where dreams come true

Shedeur’s charismatic and flamboyant personality would fit right into New York City’s lifestyle, though the Giants play at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Moreover, the Giants’ current situation could turn out as the perfect scenario for Sanders, and is no wonder why Deion voiced his comment at this particular moment.

Just days after New York announced the signing of veteran quarterback Jameis Winston to its ranks, Deion expressed his desire for Shedeur to become a G-Men. Shedeur wouldn’t be asked to play right away for the Giants, instead he could learn and develop behind journeyman Winston, who may understand as well as anybody the flows of highs and lows in the NFL.

The Giants own the third overall pick in the Draft, behind the Titans and Browns. While the Titans have been mostly linked with Cam Ward, if they choose to go the QB route with their selection, the Browns are more dependant on what the Titans do.

Moreover, Deshaun Watson’s contract isn’t going anywhere in Cleveland, thus giving the organization something more to think about before announcing their selection to the league.

What goes around, comes around

There is a real possibility, that if Tennessee selects Ward, Cleveland would sense the pressure at the QB position and take who is believed to be the second-best signal caller in the class, Sanders. If that happens, Deion’s words would come back to bite him.

“I love what the Browns have done this offseason but if I’m a young QB ain’t no way I’m going to Cleveland. I would pull an Eli Manning if possible,” Deion Sanders stated on a tweet from March 13, 2018. Time has passed since, but the words could still represent Deion’s feelings about the franchise in The Land.
