It didn’t take long before Patrick Mahomes proved that he was one of the most unique talents in the history of sports. The Kansas City Chiefs standout led the team to a Super Bowl winin just his third season in the NFL and recently signed the largest contract in sports history.

Mahomes is far beyond a franchise player. He’s the new face of the league and one of the most entertaining and explosive athletes we’ve ever seen. Then again, even great things can be better, and he’s far from satisfied with his accomplishments.

That’s whythe 24- year-old quarterback has continued to work on his skills during the offseason as he looks to make it to back-to-back Super Bowls, revealing a key adjustment he’s made during training camp.

Patrick Mahomes Says He’s Improved At Making Adjustments On The Fly

When asked about his biggest improvement this offseason, Mahomes said that he’s making a better job of making adjustment’s on the fly, which will help the Kansas City Chiefs get to a faster start on a weekly basis.

The scary part is the fact that Mahomes even admitted that he didn’t know how to read a defense until last season, so he was doing most of his damage without actually being good at making adjustments on the line.

The Chiefs’ got off to slow starts more often than not last season but didn’t have any kind of problems bouncing back, as they even came back from behind multiple times in the playoffs and ended up demolishing their rivals.

Even with his limited skills at making adjustments, Pat has thrown for9,412 yards with 76 touchdowns to 18 INTsin 2 years as a starter in the NFL. He’s a former Offensive Player of the Year, MVP, Super Bowl MVP, MVP, passing touchdowns leader, 2-time Pro Bowl, All-Pro, and Super Bowl champion. He’s just 24 years old, and that’s why he’ll be making $45+ million a year over the next decade.
