One of the most talked-about stories in the NFL late Tuesday was the reversal regarding the arrival of Maxx Crosby as a new player for the Ravens. Far from dwelling on it, Baltimore quickly agreed to the arrival of Trey Hendrickson, coming from the Cincinnati Bengals.
The pass rusher switches teams within the AFC North in a very interesting deal. According to journalist Adam Schefter through his account on X, the contract is for four years, worth $112 million.
The situation of Crosby was different. He had agreed to join Ravens Flock in a trade for two draft picks, with the contract being absorbed by Baltimore. He had signed with the Las Vegas Raiders for three years in a contract extension worth $106 million, running through 2029.
This move brings another curious note for next season. Hendrickson remains in the division, meaning he will face his former teammates at least twice, with Joe Burrow as the primary target.

Elite reinforcement for the Ravens
Hendrickson’s high-profile acquisition serves as a perfect “Plan B” after a potential trade for Maxx Crosby fell through, providing Baltimore with the game-wrecking presence they desperately needed on the defensive line.

Despite a challenging 2025 season with the Cincinnati Bengals—where he was limited to just seven games due to a core muscle injury that required surgery—Hendrickson still managed to record 4.0 sacks and 16 tackles in that short span.
By bringing in a player who led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in 2024 and earned four consecutive Pro Bowl nods, the Ravens are betting on his full recovery to spearhead their pass rush and maintain their status as a defensive powerhouse in the AFC North.
