Guillermo Barros Schelotto is no longer the Los Angeles Galaxy manager after the team decided to part ways with the Argentine boss. The 2020 MLS season wasn't precisely the best for the team and the coach, who couldn't figure things out to bring his team back to the best level, piling up losses and losses in recent times.

Just a couple of hours ago, the Galaxy was destroyed by Portland Timbers, who smashed them with a 5-2 final result. Before that game, they had lost against LAFC by 2-0 and San Jose with a 4-0 result, respectively. The only victory they recorded in the last 10 games happened against Vancouver on October 18.

Having scored only five goals in their last five matches while conceding 17, things didn't look very promising for Barros Schelotto and now the 47-year-old is once again a free agent.

“Based on results, we have decided to go in a different direction,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “The LA Galaxy is a club that is built on winning on the field and being representative of the championship mentality and pedigree that you expect in Los Angeles. As a club, we have a collective responsibility and we all must share the blame for the club’s current standing. I take responsibility for the poor results and believe that we can find the right way forward for this team and our club.”

LA Galaxy fans react to Barros Schelotto firing on social media

As expected, Galaxy fans didn't take long to react to the news, expressing their opinions with the decision, some agreeing with it while others asked for more or different moves within the team. These moves will always bring controversy to the table and this certainly wasn't the exception. Everybody wanted to make their voice heard.

Only three games remain for the Galaxy in this tournament. They visit Real Salt Lake this Sunday trying to show a different face, before clashing with Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps, respectively. They have a lot of things to figure out ahead of the next season and the coaching job isn't the only one.
