After an exciting Matchday 1, the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League is back with 16 more entertaining games for the fans this week. Check out the pack of matches for today, with some interesting duels between teams that need to show a different face after a rough start to the season.

Matchday 1 surprised plenty of teams and fans and now it’s time for the losers to get things back on track while the winners will try to keep and extend their winning streak in the most important club competition of the world.

Today we’ll have some of the favorite teams to win the competition in action trying to increase their bid to the title. Yet, their rivals won’t make it easy.

2020/21 UEFA Champions League Matchday 2 games

Bayern Munich vs Lokomotiv Moscow

The German giants and current Champions League winners kick off this matchday with a very interesting game against Lokomotiv Moscow. Bayern will try to make it back-to-back wins against the Russian side that will try to surprise the seemingly unbeatable Bavarians to get their first win of the season.

Shakhtar Donetsk vs Inter Milan

After one game, Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk are surprisingly the leaders of Group B of the UCL , following an incredible 2-3 victory over Real Madrid in the first game of the season. They will try to do the same against Inter at home. The Italians tied their first match against Borussia Monchengladbach in Milan.

Olympique Marseille vs Manchester City

Olympique Marseille will try to bounce back against Manchester City after losing the season opener against Greek side Olympiacos. Meanwhile, City had an easy day against Porto, beating them at home by 2-1.

Liverpool vs Midtjylland

The 2019 Champions League winners, Liverpool, beat a hard rival in Ajax last week. Jurgen Klopp and his team are looking for revenge after a not so good participation last season. On the other hand, we find Midtjylland, who lost against Atalanta by a crushing 4-0 in Italy.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Real Madrid

Borussia Monchengladbach surprisingly got a valuable tie against Internazionale in Italy, tying 2-2 with the last Europa League’s runners up. On the other hand, we have Real Madrid , who had a bittersweet week after losing to Shakhtar at home last Wednesday before beating Barcelona 1-3 at Camp Nou over the weekend.

Atletico Madrid vs RB Salzburg

Atletico Madrid will try to make a statement against RB Salzburg after they were crushed by Bayern Munich, 4-0, last week. Salzburg tied with Lokomotiv Moscow 2-2 in the first game of the year and now will try to get their first three points against the Spanish side.

Porto vs Olympiakos

Porto couldn’t do much against Manchester City, who easily beat them 3-1 at home last week. The Dragons will try to get their first W of the season against Olympiakos, who beat Olympique Marseille by 1-0 in Greece.

Atalanta vs Ajax

Atalanta and Ajax are expected to be the teams fighting to accompany Liverpool to the next round of the competition. The Italians started the season pretty well with a 4-0 victory over Danish side Midtjylland while Ajax couldn’t beat the Reds in their first encounter in this Champions League edition.
