<p><em>“</em><strong><em>Everybody knows how it is playing up here.</em> <em>You can never leave it into the refs’ hands</em></strong><em>,”</em> Mixon said after the Texans’ loss to the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/kansas-city-chiefs">Chiefs</a> in January, via the <em>Associated Press</em>. “<em>The whole world sees, man, what it is. <strong>When it comes down to it, you can never leave it into the refs’ hands</strong>. <p>Those were Mixon’s comments. However, the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a> initially fined Stroud’s teammate <strong>for something he didn’t actually say</strong>. The original fine mentioned a post made former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh, who wrote: “<em>Why play the game if every 50/50 call goes with Chiefs. <p>First, Mixon was fined $25,000 for Houshmandzadeh’s post―which was <strong>wrongly credited</strong> to Mixon in a Sports Illustrated article (the mistake was later rectified). The NFL issued the fine based on the “50/50” quote, according to Mixon and his agent, Peter Schaffer. </p>



<p>Hours later, the league office reinstated the fine for the comments Mixon had actually made after the Texans’ loss in Kansas City. Mixon took to social media to <strong>complain about this situation</strong>.</p>

<p>Last year, the Texans selected <strong>CJ Stroud</strong> in the first round of the <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/nfl-draft" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL Draft</a></strong>. <p>However, the Texans’ front office knows Stroud can’t succeed alone. To support him, the team has added <strong>several key players since his arrival</strong>, aiming to help him reach his full potential.</p>



<p><strong>Joe Mixon</strong> joined the Texans earlier this year as a <strong>reliable running back</strong>, but he’s now sidelined with an <strong>ankle injury sustained during Week 2’s game</strong> against the Bears.</p>



<p>In the offseason, the <strong>NFL announced a ban on the hip-drop tackle to reduce injuries</strong>. Yet, after 31 games this season, <strong>enforcement has been inconsistent</strong>, with <strong>many violations going unpunished</strong>.</p>



<p><strong>Mixon</strong> became the latest victim of this <strong>poor officiating</strong> when he was <strong>hip-drop tackled</strong> in the third quarter against Chicago. He left the game immediately, visibly in <strong>pain from his ankle injury</strong>.</p>

<p>He is now <strong>set to undergo an MRI</strong> to determine the severity of the injury. The lack of a penalty on the play has left <strong>Mixon frustrated</strong>, <strong>questioning why the NFL would ban the tackle</strong> if it won’t be properly enforced.</p>



<p><strong><em>“The NFL and NFLPA made it a rule and an emphasis for a reason,”</em> </strong>Mixon wrote on X, formerly known as<strong> </strong>Twitter.<em> “Time to put your money where your mouth is.”</em></p>



<h2>How many games will Joe Mixon miss due to his ankle injury?</h2>



<p>Joe Mixon managed to return in the fourth quarter, though his <strong>playing time was limited</strong>. He is scheduled for an MRI on Monday, with an <strong>ankle sprain</strong> being the best scenario for him.</p>

<h2>Lamar Jackson has more rushing yards than star RBs and any other QB</h2>



<p>Baltimore Ravens quarterback <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/lamar-jackson">Lamar Jackson</a></strong> has so far been unstoppable on the ground, rushing for <strong>193 yards</strong> in three games. He owes much of this amazing stat to his incredible performance against the Indianapolis Colts, when he ran for 101 yards.</p>



<p>While the former MVP is nowhere near San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, who leads the list with 353 yards, Jackson has more rushing yards than Mixon (<strong>180</strong>) and Henry (<strong>163</strong>), two of the best at the position.</p>

However, there wasn’t enough evidence to prove that threat.</p>


        

        


<p>If Mixon had been found guilty, the star might have spent up to a year in jail. This was the verdict by judge Gwen Bender in Hamilton County. <em>“After a careful review of all of the evidence presented at trial, including the stipulations and the testimony presented today, I cannot say the city sustained its burden.”</em></p>

<p>The <strong>2023 NFL season</strong> is just around the corner, and the <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/cincinnati-bengals" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cincinnati Bengals</a></strong> have received some worrying news. <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/joe-mixon" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Joe Mixon</a></strong>, their starting running back, has been named in a lawsuit stemming from shooting of a teenager near his house.</p>



<p>Back in 2017, the Bengals found a hidden gem in the second round of the NFL Draft. With the <strong>48th overall pick</strong>, Cincinnati selected Joe Mixon, <strong>former Oklahoma running back</strong>, to bolster the team’s offense.</p>

<p>In <strong>six seasons</strong> with the Bengals, Mixon has rushed for <strong>5,378 yards in 1,314 carries and 40 touchdowns</strong>. He’s also a huge <strong>menace by air</strong>, <strong>receiving 231 passes for 1,763 yards and 10 touchdowns</strong>.</p>

<p>The Bengals enter the 2023 season as <strong>true contenders</strong> to win the <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/super-bowl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Super Bowl</a> LVIII</strong>. <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/joe-burrow" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Joe Burrow’s</a> offense</strong> is stacked with talent, and Joe Mixon appears as one of the best weapons the quarterback has in it.</p>



<p>Unfortunately, Mixon is facing a huge <strong>off-the-field problem</strong> that may put in jeopardy his 2023 campaign. The running back has been <strong>named in a civil lawsuit stemming from the shooting of a teenager</strong> near his house.</p>



<p>According to Fox 19 Now, <strong>Lamonte Brewer</strong>, boyfriend of Mixon’s sister, <strong>allegedly shot a teenage neighbor</strong> of the running back. The lawsuit <strong>names the Bengals player</strong> as the <strong>weapon and bullets used belong to him</strong>.</p>



<p>Brewer is being accused of <strong>using an assault rifle to shoot 11 rounds at the minor</strong>. Unfortunately, one hit the victim in his <strong>right foot</strong>. According to reports, the teen and his friends were <strong>playing Nerf wars</strong> near Mixon’s property.</p>



<p>The lawsuit also states that Brewer and Mixon should not <strong><em>“have reasonably felt that their lives were in danger,”</em></strong> as they were both aware that the teenagers were just playing a game.</p>

<p>Reports say that <strong>Mixon held a 9mm semi-automatic pistol</strong> at the time of the incident, but did not fire it. Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers said the <strong>running back</strong> <strong><em>“did not commit a crime.”</em></strong></p>

<p><strong>The Packers</strong> have lacked a reliable running back since Eddy Lacy’s downfall but it seems like they’ve finally found their guy. <strong>Aaron Jones </strong>started all 16 games last season and was tied with Derrick Henry for the most rushing touchdowns in the season (16).</p>
<p>Jones proved to be a huge red-zone threat and a solid 3 down kind of running back. Also, with the Packers cautiously leaning towards balancing their offense and trying to protect their 36-year-old quarterback, <strong>we expect them to feed Jones as often as possible next year.</strong></p>
<h2>9. Nick Chubb</h2>

<p><strong>Nick Chubb</strong> has been forced to share the backfield with Duke Johnson and Carlos Hyde earlier on his career until the Cleveland Browns finally let him loose. He’s been nothing short of spectacular when given the chance to prove his worth.</p>
<p>Chubb <strong>rushed for 1,494 yards and 8 scores</strong> last season while averaging just over 90 yards per game and 5.0 yards per carry. He’s also got great hands and is an effective threat in the passing game as well. Then again, he plays for the Browns, so anything can happen.</p>
<h2>8. Todd Gurley</h2>

<p>We’re all rooting for <strong>Todd Gurley</strong> now. It’s crazy to see how quickly things can change in the NFL. Gurley was the best running back in the game three years ago and now the Rams pretty much paid him a lot of money just to get rid of him.</p>
<p>Gurley’s going to play with a chip on his shoulder all season and that’s a scary thought. If he can stay healthy <strong>(which is a big IF)</strong>, he’ll finally provide the balance the Atlanta Falcons’ offense has lacked since Devonta Freeman’s breakout year.</p>
<h2><strong>7. Alvin Kamara</strong></h2>

<p><strong>Alvin Kamara</strong> had a bit of a down year last season but he wasn’t fully healthy and he didn’t have Drew Brees under center for a third of the season, so we can definitely expect him to bounce back in 2020.</p>
<p>Kamara is one of the strongest and fastest players you’ll find in the gridiron and his <strong>tackle-breaking ability is still elite.</strong> Having Brees back at full strength will open up a lot of lanes for him to prove his worth again.</p>

<p><strong>Joe Mixon</strong> is one of the most versatile running backs in the league. He can be a huge threat on screen passes and wreak havoc in opposing secondaries, or just fight his way between the tackles as a 3-down kind of back.</p>
<p>The Bengals have been abysmal since Mixon entered the league in 2017 but they’ll finally have AJ Green back plus first overall pick Joe Burrow, which can only improve their putrid offense. Mixon has been their lone bright spot thus far with<strong> almost 3,000 yards from scrimmage over the past 2 seasons.</strong></p>

<p>There were a lot of concerns about<strong> Dalvin Cook’s</strong> durability but now that we’ve finally seen him play a full season, we get why the Minnesota Vikings were so high and patient with him. He’s the real deal and their best back since Adrian Peterson.</p>

<p>Just when some people were ready to give up on him, <strong>Derrick Henry</strong> finally broke out. Now, he’ll have to carry the load for the Tennessee Titans again after leading the NFL in carries (303), rushing yards (1,540) and rushing touchdowns (16).</p>
<p>Henry’s big and strong frame allows him to break loose despite three linebackers trying to take him down. Getting stiff-armed by him <strong>must feel like hitting a brick wall.</strong> He’s also turned into a solid threat in the passing game with 206 yards and a couple of scores last year.</p>

<p><strong>Ezekiel Elliott </strong>got paid big time last year and it didn’t take him long to prove why after a slow start to the season. He posted 1,777 total yards last year and has already led the league in rushing twice while not missing a single game over four seasons.</p>
<p>Elliott has a legit shot at becoming the greatest running back in a franchise that also had <strong>Tony Dorsett and Emmit Smith,</strong> that’s just how good he is. There’s just no true way of slowing him down and the Cowboys will only go as far as he takes them, even despite Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper’s presence.</p>

<p><strong>Saquon Barkley</strong> is just ridiculous. He’s got an incredible ability to create something out of nothing, break tackles, and take off at an insane speed. His athletic traits make him simply unstoppable, even on a team like the Giants.</p>
<p>Barkley has already piled up<strong>3,469 yards from scrimmage and 23 touchdowns </strong>since entering the league two seasons ago and he’s just getting started. The Giants will take anything Daniel Jones can give them but it’s pretty clear that their offense will flow through Saquon’s rock-hard quads.</p>

<p><strong>Christian McCaffrey</strong> entered the NFL while holding theNCAArecord for most all-purpose yards in a season (3,864) and instantly proved that his ability as a dual-threat back could translate <a href="https://www.nfl.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">to the NFL.</a> He’s already amassed 5,443 yards (2,920 rushing, 2,524 receiving) in just three seasons in the league.</p>
<p>McCaffrey looks like the kind of player you create in Madden. There aren’t any flaws in his game. <strong>He’s the highest-paid running back in NFL history </strong>for a reason after piling over 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in 2019 and he’ll look to build on those performances in 2020.</p>
