For some reason, the Nuggets seem to have enjoyed that victory more than any other series they won throughout the postseason. The Lakers were mentioned several times during their victory parade in Denver, and Malone later roasted The King.



“Speaking of the Lakers, I just want you guys to know, this is breaking news: I’m thinking about retiring,” the Nuggets coach joked in the Pat McAfee Show, roasting James, who said he would contemplate retirement this offseason. But the 38-year-old didn’t overlook Malone’s “joke.”

The Lakers are used to being hated by teams they don’t have a rivalry with. The Miami Heat will be in the mix for every major name that becomes available in the offseason, and Bradley Beal is no exception to that rule. Also, he was already tied to them multiple times in the past.



The Heat need another three-level scorer and someone who could take playmaking and scoring duties off Jimmy Butler’s shoulders, and he’d be a massive upgrade over Max Strus.

The New York Knicks are rumored to be keeping tabs on Beal’s situation. This isn’t much of a surprise, as they’ve been interested in every single All-Star that’s rumored to be on his way out of his team for years now.



The Knicks have failed to land those players, and it would be better for them if that happens again. While Beal is good, they’d have to give up too much for an aging player making almost $60 million a year by age 33.

Like someone in that category would be the perfect fit.“

It’s ok to be confident and have an ego if you’re an NBA player; that’s perfectly fine. But someone needs to check on Towns and what he’s eating lately, as he’s going off the rails pretty badly.

Now, Ja Morant has been suspended 25 games without pay for conduct detrimental to the league. The star’s suspension begins immediately and will remain in effect through the first 25 games of the 2023-2024 NBA regular season for which he is otherwise eligible and able to play.



Adam Silver talked about the situation. “Ja Morant’s decision to once again wield a firearm on social media is alarming and disconcerting given his similar conduct in March for which he was already suspended eight games. The potential for other young people to emulate Ja’s conduct is particularly concerning.”



Furthermore, the NBA assured his return is not guaranteed. Morant will be required to meet certain conditions before he comes back to play and will be ineligible to participate in any public league or team activities, including preseason games, during the course of his suspension.

Predictably, Rivers dug them in a hole over and over in his tenure in charge, especially in the postseason. In his defense, it didn’t help that James Harden and Joel Embiid also have a bad rap for not showing up when it matters the most.



And now that the Sixers rightfully fired him after another epic failure, Rivers did what he’s always done after getting shown the door: Throw his players under the bus. This time, he claims it was<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/joel-embiid" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Embiid’s </a>fault they couldn’t go the distance.

“Number one, he has to be healthy,” Rivers said of Embiid in the Bill Simmons podcast. “If you look at his numbers in the last three years in the playoffs, compared to his regular season numbers, they’re not very good. The first year I had him, he hurts his knee. The next year, he hits his face and tears ligaments in his hand, and then this year he has a knee injury and he was never the same once he came back this year. So health is No. 1.”



“Number two for Jo is he’s got to make all his players better in the playoffs,” Rivers said. “He has the ability to make his teammates better and when he does it, if you look at our games this year when he did that and dominated, hard to go away from Joel Embiid. It really is. He’s just got to do that on a consistent basis. Not just on the court, but also off the court. Just be around the guys and spend time with your guys and let them know that you love them because they love you.”



To be fair, Embiid should’ve and could’ve played a lot better, even if he was hurt. Being available is a part of the job, and he should be held accountable for his poor play; that’s a fact.



On the other than, we’re talking about the coach with the worst record in Game 7s, which also happens to be the guy with the most blown leads in a playoff series in the history of the game.



Rivers is a terrible tactician and a guy who’s constantly outcoached and too stubborn to even try and tweak his rotations a little. He’s also the kind of coach who would rather roast his players in public than acknowledge he got beaten.



It would be hard to think of a reason why any team would even consider bringing him in for an interview, and this is another example of why no player should ever want to play for him.



Rivers has been living off that 2008 championship for way too long now, even though Tom Thibodeau was the architect behind that elite defense. Now, it’s time NBA teams finally turn the page, and he stays at home with his family.

That’s why Adrian Wojnarowski doesn’t think the team will dump him at this point, as they’re looking to climb into the top-3 of the upcoming <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nba/nba-draft-spurs-already-have-a-plan-for-victor-wembanyama-20230615-BUS-11512.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NBA</a> Draft, and Zion isn’t worth that much right now.

At least they lost to eventual champions Denver Nuggets, but that’s not enough. Phoenix wants to succeed, and fast. The front office has already started to move pieces, firing Monty Williams to hire Frank Vogel.



But of course, this wouldn’t be it. The Suns are expected to continue making changes to their roster in the next few months, and according to John Hollinger of The Athletic, Nets small forward Yuta Watanabe could land in Phoenix for next season.

“Watanabe had a breakout year in Brooklyn, shooting 44.4 percent from 3, but the Nets’ crowd at the forward position makes it seem unlikely he’s back. A solid defender with a limited offensive repertoire beyond the catch-and-shoot game, Watanabe would be a good pickup as a fourth forward who can fill in at either spot, although he’s probably more comfortable at the three,” Hollinger wrote.



“One obvious place to look for him on a minimum deal would be Phoenix. The Suns will likely need to sign several minimum deals to fill out their roster this summer, and Watanabe could be reunited with Kevin Durant and again play off him for open 3s.“
