<p>Before buying Twitter, Musk positioned himself as a kind of <strong>protector of free speech</strong>. In a tweet published back in April, per The New Yorker, he wrote:<em> “By ‘free speech,’ I simply mean that which matches the law. I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law.” </em>However, his latest moves <strong>contradict that statement.</strong></p>

<p>The websites and apps for all of the services were responding with server errors. <em>“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products,” </em>the official Whatsapp account tweeted. <em>“We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”</em></p>
<p>The users started reporting the issues on <strong>DownDetector.com</strong>. It seemed like the outages are widespread, but Facebook, the owner of the apps, hasn’t said anything official about the impacts of users. It’s not currently known what’s causing the outage.<span></span><span></span></p>

<p>So far <strong>43% of users</strong> have reported problems with sending messages and 28% have failed when trying to establish a server connection. Of course, people are kind of freaking out and are trying to find alternatives to chat.</p>
<p>While it’s not the first time that these apps are down (remember 2019), many people still consider them as their favorite. But, maybe, it’s time to find <strong>another app</strong>at least for today. Here, you got some alternatives:</p>

<p><strong>LINE</strong><br> The app has all the features of WhatsApp and Telegram, but also allows calls to users who do not have LINE.</p>
<p><strong>Discord</strong><br> The San Francisco-based app is known for its free service and it’s pretty popular between gamers.</p>
