In the Indiana Fever’s defeat against the Atlanta Dream, Caitlin Clark delivered another historic performance. With 26 points, 12 assists, and 5 rebounds, the Fever guard passed Sabrina Ionescu to become the player with the most 25-point, 10-assist games in WNBA history.
With this latest showing, Clark now has six such games in just 42 professional appearances, while Ionescu has played 144 games in her career. Clark is also the fastest player to reach 350 career assists.
She additionally tied Courtney Vandersloot, who has played 394 games, for the most 20-point, 10-assist games in WNBA history. Clark is also the first player to open a season with back-to-back games of 20+ points and 10+ assists.
Despite Clark’s standout effort, particularly in the fourth quarter, the Fever couldn’t close a 10-point gap and fell 91–90 after the Dream held off Stephanie White’s team in the final minutes.
Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell also delivered strong performances, finishing with 24 points each. For the Dream, Brittney Griner was one of the standout players with 21 points and 8 rebounds, while Rhyne Howard added 20 points, including four three-pointers.

Stephanie White analyzes Fever’s defeat
After the match, Fever head coach Stephanie White said she was “proud” of her team’s effort. “I’m proud of our fight, and the toughness we showed […] We were all engaged. That’s a moral victory,” she said, via Athlon Sports.
However, she pointed out that the team still needed to do some work. “At the same time, you gotta be ready to go every game,” she said. “We still have to figure out how to get all five players on the same page on the floor.”
They’ll face off again in just two days, on May 22, when the Dream host the Fever at State Farm Arena. The Fever won their first match against the Chicago Sky, while the Dream lost to the Washington Mystics on their season debut.
