Steph Curry, Klay Thompson react to another trip to the NBA Finals

The Golden State Warriors did it again. They’re going to the NBA Finals for the sixth time in eight years, emulating what the Chicago Bulls did in the 90s and threatening to become the greatest dynasty in modern NBA history.

People were quick to count them out over the past couple of years. They said they were done, that Klay Thompson would never be the same player, and that Stephen Curry wouldn’t be able to lead them through the playoffs again.

Fast-forward to today, and Steve Kerr’s team is once again on the verge of making history. Needless to say, this meant a lot for the veterans, especially for the Splash Brothers,after hearing all that noise.

“This is a blessing,” Curry said. “Obviously, it’s a team effort to get back, what Draymond said for us. Be optimistic the last two years, and be back where belong, back in the Finals. This is special, our fanbase, to do it in this new building. Everything about it is special. We know this isn’t the ultimate goal, but we know we gotta celebrate this because of all we went through the last two years.”

“I’m just so happy to be back. I’m so thankful for this team,” Thompson added.“These guys carried us to an incredible start. We coming back in there, I don’t want to get emotional but I can’t believe we’re back. This is crazy. I’m going to enjoy this tonight but, wow we still got four more to go Dub nation. I’m going to soak this in tonight though. I can’t believe it. I really can’t believe it.”

The best part about this Warriors team is that they’re competing while rebuilding. Moses Moody, James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, and Jordan Poole will be here once their championship core is gone.

The Dubs are just four wins away from thefourth ring of the Steve Kerr era. You may or may not like their style of play, but there’s no way to deny that they have one of the greatest Big 3s of all time, if not the greatest.
