In previous weeks, the Carolina Panthers decided to trade with the Chicago Bears to get their 1st-overal pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. It is pretty obvious that they did it in order to sign a quarterback, and now they have narrowed down their options to only two players.

After a failed experiment with Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and P.J. Howard in 2022, the Panthers are looking for a new quarterback. They gave away lots of things for Bears’ No. 1 pick in order to land a top prospect.

This 2023 NFL Draft class has a lot of talent, especially regarding the quarterbacks. For that reason, the Panthers have narrowed down who are the two players that will compete to be called first.

Panthers have only two quarterback options to pick with the No. 1 selection

The Carolina Panthers made a huge effort to get the first-overall pick. They want a quarterback who could lead them to success after failing with Baker Mayfield last year.

This class has lots of very good quarterbacks, but there are two that are the favorites for Frank Reich. The head coach will be responsible of selecting who he thinks is the best player for the future of the franchise.

According to ESPN,Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud and Alabama’s Bryce Young are the only two options that the Panthers have to pick. On Tuesday, Reich said that the decision is “clearer than he has (been) at any point during the process”.
