Odell Beckham Jr. continues to generate buzz in free agency, but a reunion with the New York Giants still appears uncertain. After an initial report from Dan Duggan on OBJ taking an important step to join the Giants, another insider has provided additional context on the veteran wide receiver’s visit to talk with John Harbaugh.

Jordan Raanan offered a brief update that reinforced the idea that Beckham initiated the meeting himself rather than the Giants actively pursuing him. “As Dan noted, Odell Beckham came by the hotel yesterday. He lives out in Arizona. It was a move driven by him. Nothing is imminent at this time.”

The update suggests that while Beckham is clearly interested in returning, the Giants are not yet moving toward a deal. Instead, the situation remains exploratory, with New York likely waiting before deciding whether to bring the veteran receiver in for a workout.

Odell Beckham Jr. still pushing for Giants reunion

Odell Beckham’s decision to visit the hotel hosting the meetings highlights his desire to return to New York. The veteran wide receiver appears to be proactively creating opportunities as he looks for another chance in the NFL.

Even so, the Giants’ current wide receiver room may complicate matters. With Malik Nabers leading the group and additional depth already in place, Beckham would likely need to earn a role as a rotational option or slot contributor.

For now, the situation remains fluid. Beckham has made his interest clear, but unless the Giants take the next step and evaluate him in a workout, a reunion remains far from guaranteed. Surprisingly, if it wasn’t for the 2026 Fanatics Flag Football Classic, none of this would have happened.
