If there’s one team that’s truly hungry to achieve great things this NFL season, it’s undoubtedly the Baltimore Ravens. To make that happen, reinforcing the roster in the best possible way is crucial. That’s why the front office moved quickly and agreed to add a former teammate of both Dak Prescott and Joe Burrow, who will join Lamar Jackson for what’s to come.

Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, after his stint last season with the Tennessee Titans, has finalized his move to John Harbaugh’s team and will become a Raven starting next season.

While no further details regarding his contract were disclosed, the experienced CB was announced through the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the franchise. “We have agreed to terms with CB Chidobe Awuzie on a one-year contract!,” the team reported via @Ravens.

In the last season played for the Titans, Awuzie was only able to see action in eight games. The former Colorado Buffaloes player suffered a groin injury that kept him sidelined for an extended period of time.

The CB’s experience playing alongside Prescott and Burrow

If there’s one thing Awuzie knows in this league, it’s playing alongside great quarterbacks. This, in some way, could give him a significant advantage as he joins a team led by Lamar Jackson.

What can be expected from Baltimore for the upcoming season?

The Ravens’ last campaign fell short of achieving their main goal, which was, at the very least, to reach the Super Bowl. Now, with a sense of renewal, Baltimore is aiming to truly become title contenders.

The addition of players like DeAndre Hopkins, Cooper Rush, and Tylan Wallace, along with the great talent of Lamar Jackson and even Derrick Henry, gives John Harbaugh a wide range of possibilities to form a competitive team and truly contend in the league.
