The latest Super Bowl title was claimed by the Philadelphia Eagles, who, led by a dominant performance from quarterback Jalen Hurts and his teammates, were crowned the new champions of the NFL. Jason Kelce, a former champion himself, showed significant support regarding a play that has sparked debate in recent weeks.

Nick Sirianni and his team effectively trademarked the “Tush Push,” a play that has triggered controversy within the NFL. The Eagles were able to exploit it to great advantage week after week throughout last season.

With the ongoing debate about whether the play should remain legal in the league, Kelce decided to speak out, making his presence known at the owners’ meeting, where he strongly supported this signature play of his former team.

According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, who revealed the information through his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Kelce would come out of retirement even if the only thing he had to do was execute that play.

“Here’s Jason Kelce’s thoughts on the Tush Push and why he’s attending the league meeting from @newheightshow. Says he’d come out of retirement today if all. He had to do was run the Tush Push 80 times a game.,” the insider stated via @MikeGarafolo.

What will happen to the Tush Push next season?

Although the franchise owners met to reach a final decision on the fate of the Tush Push, the proposal ultimately failed to gather enough votes to move forward. As a result, the Eagles will be allowed to continue using the play in the upcoming season.

“A ban of the Push Tush play that the Philadelphia Eagles popularized did not receive enough votes at today’s league meeting in Minneapolis. The play remains alive. There will be more tush pushes this season,” Adam Schefter stated via @AdamSchefter.
