The world continues to await the moment that Lionel Messi will walk onto the field as a PSG player. The wait may be over as it looks like the Argentine Copa America winner may be a part of the matchday squad against Reims on Sunday August 29th in Ligue 1 action.

PSG head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, stated that PSG will take it “step-by-step….so that he (Messi) is able to make his debut when he is fully fit.” It is important to note that Messi finished a long season after winning the Copa America with Argentina and then taking an extended vacation while settling his contract situation at Barcelona, which eventually led to his mega move to PSG where he signed a two-year deal.

For PSG, they have done just fine so far without Messi, going 3-0 in their first three games. Still, all eyes are on Lionel Messi, who has been training with the team and is preparing for his big day in a PSG uniform.
