Angel Reese is on a mission. The rookie of the Chicago Sky wants to prove Caitlin Clark is not the only young face of the WNBA. A few weeks ago, the former player of LSU already sent a big first warning.
“I think so many people are watching women’s basketball right now. It all started from the national championship game. I’ve dealing with this for two years now. I’ll take the bad guy role and I’ll continue to take that on and be that for my teammates. I know I’ll go down in history. I’ll look back in 20 years and be like, the reason why we’re watching women’s basketball is not just because of one person. It’s because of me, too. I want y’all to realize that. It’s not just because of one person (Caitlin Clark).”
Then, in the third matchup of this season between the Indiana Fever and the Sky, Reese had a sensational performance with 25 points and 16 rebounds to get an 88-87 win at home.
Since that moment on, the narrative suddenly changed and Angel Reese entered the debate to possibly win Rookie of the Year.

Angel Reese gets another WNBA record in race with Caitlin Clark
Angel Reese became the first player in WNBA history with ten consecutive games getting a double-double in a single season. It happened during the matchup between the Chicago Sky and the Minnesota Lynx.
Reese got 10 points and 16 rebounds and, thanks to her impressive feat, she just surpassed the mark established by legendary Candace Parker in the 2015 season playing for the Los Angeles Sparks.
