<p>After 14 incredible seasons in <strong>Atlanta</strong>, <strong>Matt Ryan</strong>’s trade to the <strong>Colts</strong> went terribly bad. The veteran quarterback never looked like his true self in <strong>Indianapolis</strong>, losing his job only a few weeks into the 2022 season.</p>

<p>Ryan<strong> can become the only quarterback to lose against 31 different teams in NFL history</strong>, this would be the opposite of what other quarterbacks like Tom Brady have achieved (<strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/russell-wilson-needs-two-wins-to-break-an-exclusive-nfl-record-20220514-0010.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">won against every single team</a></strong>).</p>

On November 13 the Colts play the Raiders on the road.</strong></p>

However, and despite the newcomer’s hierarchy, <strong>Frank Reich</strong> has accepted that he is in search of another experienced quarterback to have a great back up for any eventuality during the season.</p>
<p>Ryan spent 13 seasons with the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/nfl-rumors-multiple-teams-want-to-sign-robert-griffin-iii-20220504-0009.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Atlanta Falcons</strong></a>, where he was an outstanding player but was never able to culminate his work with the first <strong>Super Bowl</strong> in the history of the franchise born in 1966. Even so, he had memorable years such as 2016 when he was the league’s passer rating leader as well as the offensive player of the season.</p>
<p>For his part, Frank Reich has already expressed his desire to build on the past by bringing in <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/nfl-news-carson-wentz-addresses-his-return-to-philadelphia-20220513-0007.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Carson Wentz</strong></a>, who was on the Philadelphia Eagles squad that won the franchise’s first Super Bowl by defeating Tom Brady’s New England Patriots last season. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out and Wentz was used as a bargaining chip with the Washington Commanders during the <strong>2022 NFL Draft</strong>.</p>

<p>The current Indianapolis head coach was <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/philadelphia-eagles-running-backs-for-the-upcoming-2022-nfl-season-20220423-0003.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Philadelphia’s offensive coordinator</a> in their historic 2017 season, when they won the NFL crown. He already tried to solve the Colts’ problems with Carson Wentz and now he would be betting on doing it with the quarter back that made him so happy with the Eagles.</p>
<p>So, according to <em>The Athletic</em>, the 37-year-old Ryan back up that the Indianapolis Colts would be looking for at Reich’s express request is <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/will-nick-foles-take-over-for-carson-wentz-on-the-colts-funniest-memes-and-reactions-20210802-0012.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Nick Foles</strong></a>. The 1989-born quarter back is currently a free agent after being released by the <strong>Chicago Bears</strong> following two seasons in which he was never able to shine as he did during his time in Philadelphia.</p>
<p>Perhaps Reich’s gamble will be to repeat the 2017 formula with the Eagles in which Foles was the team’s love interest after having to replace Carson Wentz, who that season suffered an ACL injury in Week 14 in a game against the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/nfl-rumors-rams-star-aaron-donald-could-still-consider-retirement-20220519-0020.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Los Angeles Rams</a>. The outcome of that story is already known: the Austin, Texas native was awarded the MVP of Super Bowl LII.</p>

<p>They are looking to start new things and new management will take over the Falcons next season, something that could bring a lot of changes to the team in terms of their personnel. Nobody is safe right now in Atlanta and even the historic players could be shipped somewhere else in the short future.</p>
<p>Atlanta are ready to hire a new general manager and get rid of some players regardless of their contribution to the team in prior seasons. Team president Rich McKay says whoever gets the job will be free to do whatever they want with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, the soul and heart of this team for a lot of time.</p>
<h2>Atlanta Falcons could part with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones via trades</h2>
<p>The Athletic’s Jeff Schultz and Tori McElhaney, McKay won’t force anybody to keep Ryan and Jones, especially from a salary cap standpoint. The Falcons aren’t competing for anything in the <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/nfl-t20281" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NFL</a>and having these guys with their hefty contracts on the books is not a good idea.</p>
<p><em>As for the future of Ryan and Jones, both of whom punctuate the Falcons’ salary cap problems, McKay acknowledged that the next GM may prefer to rebuild the roster without one or both of the centerpieces of the team’s offense. When asked how he would respond if a job candidate wants to move on from Ryan or Jones, McKay said: “Give us a plan. Show us what you want to do and show us why. Show us how this gets us to Ws and make sure you actually execute the plan.”</em></p>
