The Sixers were left fuming from the Madison Square Garden as the hosts turned things around in the final seconds.</p>



<p>In its Last Two Minute (L2M) report, the league states <strong>Tyrese Maxey was fouled both by Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson</strong> in the melee that resulted in Donte DiVincenzo’s three-pointer that put the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/new-york-knicks">Knicks</a> ahead with 13.0 seconds to go.</p>



<p>“<em><strong>Brunson (NYK) pulls Maxey’s (PHI) jersey away from his body, which affects Maxey’s ability to secure the pass</strong>,”</em> reads the report. <em>“Hart (NYK) steps forward into Maxey’s (PHI) space and initiates lower body contact that <strong>causes Maxey to lose his balance and fall to the floor.”</strong></em></p>

Nico (Batum), coach on the sideline, but they didn’t give it to us, but forget about a timeout. <strong>There’s a bunch of fouls—like I said, that’s (expletive) unacceptable.”</strong></em></p>



<p>The <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/philadelphia-76ers">76ers</a> big man immediately defended Maxey, who lost the ball in the play that resulted in the Knicks’ late comeback. Furious with the officiating, Embiid <strong>called on the refs to improve</strong>. </p>



<p>“<strong><em>He (Maxey) did his job. That’s on the league. That’s on the NBA. That’s on the freaking referees</em></strong>,” Embiid said. <em>“<strong>I hate to put the game on them,</strong> but I’m sure the 2-minute report is gonna come out and we’re gonna see what happened, but like I said, <strong>that’s unacceptable</strong>.”</em></p>

<p>Sixers head coach Nick Nurse <strong>was also disappointed at the officiating</strong>, claiming his call for a timeout was overlooked by the refs despite being close to them on the court.</p>

<p>Giving up <strong>RJ Barrett</strong> won’t hurt them that much from a basketball standpoint. However, he was one of their most valuable assets, and so was<strong> Immanuel Quickley. </strong>Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean they’re done making moves.</p>

Some in the organization disagree with that idea. </strong>They feel like they have enough left to land a top player.”</em></p>



<p>Begley listed the<strong> potentially tradeable assets, </strong>and the reality is that the Knicks could still put together quite an interesting trade package for any star that could become available:</p>

<p><strong>“When it comes to possible destinations, the Heat and Knicks are known to be <em>preferable to DeRozan if he winds up getting moved,” </em></strong>Amick Wrote. <em>“Our Jovan Buha revealed recently that the Lakers are interested in DeRozan (and former Laker Alex Caruso) more than LaVine, which makes perfect sense to anyone who remembers how LeBron James courted DeRozan three summers ago.”</em></p>



<h2>Knicks Haven’t Approached The Bulls</h2>



<p>As of now, the Knicks <strong>have yet to make an approach</strong> to the Bulls regarding any of their star players,<strong> according to team insider Stefan Bondy.</strong> Even so, the team is reportedly active in trade talks looking to bolster their roster right now:</p>



<p><em>“Several reports state that the Bulls are open to moving Zach LaVine and other veterans, like DeMar DeRozan. The Athletic reported that the Knicks would be a desired landing spot for DeRozan.<strong> </strong></em><strong><em>This makes sense as DeRozan also strongly considered signing with New York in the 2021 offseason,”</em></strong> wrote Bondy. <em><strong>“But as of earlier this week, the Knicks hadn’t engaged in any advanced talks with Chicago on any of their players, per SNY sources.”</strong></em></p>

<h2>It’s Now Or Never</h2>



<p>The Knicks have missed many opportunities to sign star players in free agency, and their current reality is that it might be easier for them to trade for one than <strong>to actually convince one to join them at MSG.</strong></p>



<p>We’re talking about a team on the verge of championship contention that <strong>wouldn’t necessarily have to give up any starting player </strong>to get a 25+ points-per-game scorer.</p>

<p>LaVine wants to leave the Bulls and would welcome a move to NY with open arms, and DeRozan has already expressed his interest in playing for the Knicks. The Bulls will have several offers, but the Knicks can one-up every potential trade package they get.<strong> It’s time to take a risk in the Big Apple.</strong></p>
