Kupp exceled thanks to his surgical route-running and safe hands. “I couldn’t believe that D-Law got the second one,” Macdonald said. “I was like, ‘Holy crap, it’s him again.’ But the way that he attacked the ball, T-Knight, is just awesome. We hadn’t forced any fumbles yet all this year on defense and we got two today. It’s awareness. Just taking advantage of those opportunities was awesome.”

So, I was curious, ‘Hey, what are the things that we were doing prior?’ A lot of that stuff we’ve kept, that we felt were aligned with how we wanted to operate. 



“I had experience from one place of how we did it in Baltimore. So, that was probably the blueprint of everything we did initially. Then you start, okay, well, what’s best for the Seahawks? Going east is way different than going west, you’re learning that. We’ve got a lot of firepower behind the scenes making these things happen as well, and those people deserve a lot of credit.”

LeSean McCoy, who celebrated a Super Bowl win with Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, insisted that it’s too early to give Darnold too much love.



“It’s that quarterback (Darnold) for me,” McCoy said on the “Speakeasy” episode on Sunday. “Last year, I kept saying, ‘Yo, we’re in the world where we guys are praising Sam Darnold this, that and the third.’ I said, ‘Dude, the problem with America nowadays is that everyone wants success right now.’ Like, to get to the NFL, you know how hard it is … you have to earn that. We want to give Sam Darnold all this love so early. Let him earn it. ‘Cause last year, he played well, and it got to the end of the season, and you know what happened? The old him showed up.”
