Brazil secure key 3-0 victory over Haiti in Group C of the 2026 World Cup

Brazil secured a key 3-0 victory over Haiti in the 2026 World Cup at Lincoln Financial Field, taking control of the match with an own goal by Hannes Delcroix before Matheus Cunha and Vinicius Jr. added to the scoreline. The result gives Carlo Ancelotti’s side an important three points after their opening draw against Morocco.

Despite the comfortable margin, Haiti delivered a competitive first half and never abandoned their attacking approach. The Caribbean side stayed organized defensively, pressed high when possible, and forced Brazil to work for every opportunity, making the 3-0 halftime scoreline look harsher than the action on the field.

In the second half, Brazil slowed the tempo and managed possession with confidence while continuing to create chances through Vinicius Jr. and Endrick. Haiti kept fighting until the final whistle and, although they suffered a second straight defeat, they are eliminated from the tournament. Even if Haiti wins, it would get to three points, but if Scotland loses to Brazil, Scotland would still have the tiebreaker over Haiti.

90' - Full time! (3-0)

The referee blows the final whistle at Lincoln Financial Field as Brazil secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti on Matchday 2 of the 2026 World Cup Group C. An own goal by Hannes Delcroix, followed by strikes from Matheus Cunha and Vinicius Jr., earned Brazil three valuable points, while Haiti left with a scoreline that does not fully reflect their competitive first-half performance.

90' - Five minutes added (3-0)

The fourth official indicates five minutes of added time in the second half. Brazil are just moments away from securing all three points, while Haiti have one last opportunity to find a consolation goal.

89' - Brazil comfortably manage the game (3-0)

The match is now being played at a very slow pace, with Brazil fully controlling possession and the tempo, while Haiti look resigned to the result despite continuing to battle as a unit. The 3-0 scoreline feels somewhat misleading, as the first half was far more competitive than the scoreboard suggested.

83' - Both teams make substitutions (3-0)

Brazil make two more changes as Vinicius Jr. and Bruno Guimaraes head to the bench, with Danilo and Ederson entering the match. Haiti also refresh their lineup, replacing Jean-Ricner Bellegarde with Derick Etienne for the closing stages.

78' - Endrick denied by the offside flag (3-0)

Brazil think they have a fourth as Endrick marks what would have been his debut goal. The forward receives a brilliant pass inside the box and calmly finishes past Johnny Placide, but the assistant referee immediately raises the flag for offside, ruling the goal out.

75' - Brazil waste another big chance (3-0)

Brazil come close to adding a fourth after an excellent individual play by Endrick, who holds off his defender and slips a perfect pass to Douglas Santos. The fullback strikes first time but sends his effort well over the crossbar.

73' - Yellow card for Jean Jacques (3-0)

Only moments after play resumes, Danley Jean Jacques brings down Bruno Guimaraes with a late challenge in midfield. The referee has no hesitation and shows Haiti's midfielder a yellow card.

71' - Play resumes as Haiti make a substitution (3-0)

The cooling break comes to an end and play resumes at Lincoln Financial Field. Haiti also make a change, with Ruben Providence making way for Lenny Joseph as they look for a spark in the final stages of the match.

69' - Martinelli hits the post before the cooling break (3-0)

Brazil come within inches of adding a fourth after a brilliant team move. Vinicius Jr. produces a sublime backheel pass at the edge of the box to set up Gabriel Martinelli, whose curling effort beats the goalkeeper but crashes off the post. Moments later, the referee stops play for the scheduled cooling break.

67' - Yellow card for Douglas Santos (3-0)

Douglas Santos goes into the referee's book after a heavy challenge on Jean-Kevin Duverne. The Brazilian defender arrives late and is shown a yellow card as Haiti earn a free kick in a dangerous area.

65' - Double change for Brazil and Haiti (3-0)

Both teams make substitutions as the second half continues. Haiti replace Josue Casimir with Louicius Deedson, while Brazil send on Gabriel Martinelli and Endrick for Lucas Paqueta and Matheus Cunha to keep fresh legs on the field.

60' - Brazil keep searching for more (3-0)

Despite their comfortable lead, Brazil continue looking for spaces and pushing forward in attack. Vinicius Jr. remains the standout player on the field, while Rayan is also causing problems down the flank with his pace and direct runs.

57' - Brazil control the tempo (3-0)

The match continues at a slow pace, very similar to the opening minutes, with Brazil completely dictating the rhythm. Haiti keep trying to press forward, but Brazil remain comfortable in possession and are in no hurry to force the action.

51' - Haiti make two substitutions (3-0)

Haiti make a pair of changes as Carlens Arcus and Frantzdy Pierrot leave the match. Dominique Simon and Wilson Isidor come on as Haiti look for fresh energy in the second half.

49' - Haiti keep pushing forward (3-0)

Haiti continue searching for a way back into the match, trying to move the ball forward and create chances. Brazil, meanwhile, look much more composed with their three-goal advantage, controlling possession and waiting for the right moment to strike again.

45' - Second half is underway (3-0)

The action is back underway at Lincoln Financial Field as Brazil and Haiti begin the final 45 minutes. Brazil return with a three goal advantage, while Haiti look for a response and a way back into the match.

Second half resumes (3-0)

The second half is underway in Philadelphia with Brazil holding a comfortable 3-0 lead. The first 45 minutes were controlled by Carlo Ancelotti's side, who finished with 62% possession and five shots on target, while Haiti managed 38% possession and have yet to register a shot on target.

45' - Halftime! (3-0)

The referee brings the first half to an end with Brazil in complete control at Lincoln Financial Field.

45+6' - GOOOOOOOAL FOR BRAZIL!! (3-0)

Brazil strike again before halftime as Lucas Paqueta threads a perfectly weighted pass into space for Vinicius Jr. The forward races through on goal, goes one-on-one with Johnny Placide, and calmly slots his finish into the net to extend Brazil's lead.

45' - Six minutes added (2-0)

The fourth official signals six minutes of added time at the end of the first half. Brazil will look to extend their lead, while Haiti still have time to find a way back into the match before the break.

42' - Injury concern for Brazil (2-0)

Brazil suffer an early setback as Raphinha is forced off with an apparent muscle injury. The winger walks off under his own power but is unable to continue before halftime, with Rayan coming on as his replacement.

37' - GOOOOOOOAL FOR BRAZIL! (2-0)

Brazil double their advantage after a brilliant recovery by Vinicius Jr., who immediately sets up Matheus Cunha inside the box. The striker wastes no time and unleashes a powerful shot into the top corner at the near post, leaving Johnny Placide with no chance.

33' - Haiti keep fighting (1-0)

Despite falling behind, Haiti refuse to back down and continue pushing forward whenever they have the ball. They are pressing high and trying to build attacks, even if that approach leaves space behind for Brazil's pace, with Vinicius and Raphinha ready to exploit every opportunity.

29' - Play resumes (1-0)

The cooling break is over and the action is back underway at Lincoln Financial Field. Brazil return with the lead, while Haiti look to respond and find an equalizer before halftime.

26' - Cooling break (1-0)

The referee pauses play for the scheduled cooling break as players from both teams head to the sidelines to hydrate and receive instructions from their coaching staffs before the action resumes in Philadelphia.

23' - OWN GOAL BY HAITI! (1-0)

Brazil finally break the deadlock after a brilliant run from Vinicius, who cuts inside and fires from close range. Johnny Placide makes the initial save but leaves the rebound in front of goal, and as Matheus Cunha tries to reach the loose ball, Hannes Delcroix accidentally turns it into his own net to give Brazil the lead.

21' - Raphinha misses another chance, offside again! (0-0)

Brazil come close once more as Bruno Guimaraes delivers another brilliant through ball to Raphinha, who tries to chip Johnny Placide but sends his effort wide. The play would not have counted anyway, with the forward once again caught offside.

17' - Brazil push forward with urgency (0-0)

Brazil are spending these minutes on the front foot, constantly attacking Haiti's penalty area. However, they look a bit rushed in the final third, forcing passes and making uncharacteristic mistakes that have prevented them from creating clear scoring chances.

12' - Raphinha scores, but the flag goes up! (0-0)

Raphinha finds the back of the net after a brilliant pass from Bruno Guimaraes, leaving him one-on-one with the goalkeeper before finishing with composure. The celebration is short-lived, however, as the assistant referee raises the flag for offside.

11' - Haiti show attacking intent (0-0)

Haiti are not sitting back despite facing one of the tournament favorites. They stay compact when defending and look to strike quickly in transition, while pushing their lines higher whenever they move forward. Providence and Experience have been the biggest threats so far and continue to test Brazil's defense.

6' - Unusual decision gives Brazil a corner (0-0)

An unusual moment unfolds in Philadelphia as Haiti goalkeeper Johnny Placide takes too long to restart play. Under FIFA's new time-wasting rule, the referee awards Brazil a corner kick instead of allowing the delay to continue.

4' - Physical start to the match (0-0)

The opening minutes have been highly physical, with three fouls committed in less than five minutes of play. Carlens Arcus becomes the first player booked after receiving a yellow card as the intensity quickly rises in Philadelphia.
