You could argue that the Brooklyn Nets are the most overpowered NBA team weāve seen in years and you wouldnāt be wrong. I mean, even if LaMarcus Aldridge and Blake Griffin arenāt the superstars they used to be, adding them at a discount for bench depth just seems unfair.
Weāre talking about a team that has won 20 of their past 23 games, thatās currently the number 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, and that hasnāt had Kevin Durant on the court for 22 of those 23 matchups.
But you know what they say: the rich get richer. And the Brooklyn Nets arenāt done making moves just yet and will stay active in the buyout market. Thatās why today, weāll discuss the top-3 buyout candidates to join them.
NBA Rumors: The Most Likely Players To Sign With The Brooklyn Nets
3. Avery Bradley

Avery Bradley has struggled to be in his best shape over the past couple of seasons. Then again, heās still one of the most versatile backcourt defenders in the league, and the defense is the Netsā lone concern at this point in the season.
The Houston Rockets are rebuilding and Bradley would be better off giving up some money to join a championship contender. He could give them a big boost off the bench as a 3-and-D kind of guy and even close out games next to James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant.
2. Hassan Whiteside

Itās been a while since people thought of Hassan Whiteside as a good defender but you canāt deny that heās still one of the best rim protectors in the leagueand a huge upgrade over this version of DeAndre Jordan.
Itās clear that Whiteside isnāt a part of the Sacramento Kingsā plans going forward as heās been in and out of their rotation. Should he be bought out, heād give them a much-needed interior presence, and playing for a contender could bring out the best of him once and for all.
1. Otto Porter Jr

And last, but not least, Otto Porter Jr would be the best choice to fill that final roster spot, and itās not even close. He has everything they need right now as a versatile defender who can switch into bigger players and knock down shots from deep.
Porter Jr recently joined the Orlando Magic via trade but with them hitting the rebuild button, heās not likely to be around for much, especially with his huge contract. Heās a great wing defender and a reliable three-point shooter, so heāll be on plenty of contendersā shortlist.
