Mike Tomlin held his usual Tuesday press conference, this time offering expected remarks following the Pittsburgh Steelers’ loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season. With a new game against the New England Patriots on the horizon, the Steelers head coach provided an update that could concern quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The loss to the Seahawks raised concerns not only about the score but also about the condition of some players who were left injured or in pain. In a 1-1 situation with Rodgers as the centerpiece, the Steelers don’t want to give any more advantages in the upcoming games.
Rodgers has had a strong start to his tenure in Pittsburgh, especially due to his outstanding performance against the New York Jets in Week 1. After a modest showing in Week 2, A-Rod can no longer afford to lose more teammates during this critical stretch for setting expectations for the rest of the season.
Rodgers will be missing two teammates for the game against the Patriots
Tomlin confirmed to the media that defensive tackle Isaiahh Loudermilk and linebacker Alex Highsmith will be out for the Week 3 game against the Patriots. The injury list doesn’t stop there, as Rodgers could lose more than two teammates.
