Travis Kelce and his brother Jason had their mother Donna as a special guest on their podcast New Heights. She’s practically a celebrity now because of the way she supports the Kansas City Chiefs, as well as her friendship with Taylor Swift.

One of the most striking moments of the episode came when Donna spoke about the relationship between Travis and his dad. ā€œI was going to tell stories about the Superman chip clip. Remember? Both of you guys would put a towel around your shoulders. You put a chip clip right here, you would cut your neck. I took into daycare and you said that your father cut you with a knife. Dad was out of the country. He was in Mexico. So, he couldn’t have done it. They were looking at me.ā€

Kelce’s response was hilarious, joking with Jason that their dad only paid attention to the former Eagles player. ā€œYeah, that was definitely me for sure. It’s because dad never showed me enough attention. He only cared about Jason.ā€

Is Travis Kelce retiring?

No. Travis Kelce is not retiring from football and will play out the final year of his contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. After losing the Super Bowl to the Eagles, the tight end took a few weeks to think about his decision, but he’ll be back alongside Patrick Mahomes.

The big question is what will happen next. Everything points to 2025 being his final season, and Kelce hopes to say goodbye at the top with a championship. Even Andy Reid has said that, to make it happen, the star player will aim to be in the best physical shape of his career.
