For the first time since his trade from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Los Angeles Rams was confirmed, cornerback Trent McDuffie made a public appearance with a three-word message before the 2026 NFL season.

ā€œGod is good,ā€ McDuffie wrote on his X account, @trent_mcduffie. The message was accompanied by a blue heart emoji, signaling that he is embracing his new surroundings as he joins the Rams ahead of the 2026 NFL campaign.

It didn’t take long for fans to connect the dots behind McDuffie’s post. His message wasn’t random, instead it was a direct response to the latest news to come out of the Rams’ building in ā€œThe City of Angelsā€.

McDuffie’s message on social media may be seen as a ā€œthank youā€ message for his new organization, as well as a warning shot at Kansas City. After the Chiefs opted to trade—rather than re-sign—McDuffie, the star defensive back has put pen to paper on a lucrative deal with the Rams.
