Jamaica lost 2-1 to Mexico on the road after offering a dominant first half with a solid defense. They stopped the Mexican attack from the first minute of the game. The final score was 2-1 thanks to a goal in the 89th minute by Henry Martin (Mexico).

In the second round things were a bit tighter as they had to play against another group leader. Curaçao allowed only two goals in the 1st leg and Panama barely made it to the last round thanks to a 0-0 draw in the 2nd leg.
