The Argentine superstar is in the last year of the deal with the La Liga club but just a couple of months before it expires, details about it were leaked. Spanish outlet El Mundo claimed they received a copy of the player’s contract, signed in 2017, that would pay him a total of 555 million euros ($673,919,105) over four years. Somebody maliciously leaked the contract and the world of soccer went nuts over that.
Messi is ready to take legal action against anybody who leaked the deal and people within and outside the club don’t know what to expect from this situation. The Catalan giants revealed that the contract showed was real but they had nothing to do with that.
Now, the 33-year-old will try to find justice and discover who is behind the leaking of his contract amid Barcelona’s crisis and a couple of months after Messi was practically forced to stay with the Blaugrana after a dispute with the former president Josep Bartomeu.
