The 2021 Gold Cup is getting to its crucial stages. Qatar and El Salvador will kick off the quarterfinals on Saturday, July 24, at 7:30 PM (ET) with a place in the semifinals on the line. Both teams will be looking to get into the best four of the tournament for the first time in history.

The 2022 World Cup hosts have been a pleasant surprise in the Gold Cup so far, having won Group D by defeating Honduras in the final matchday. Felix Sanchez Bas' men want to pick up from where they left off to have a deep run in the competition.

La Selecta, meanwhile, want to bounce back after suffering their first defeat in the 2021 Gold Cup at the hands of Mexico last Sunday. Hugo Perez's boys want to end a long course and get their country into the semifinals for the first time. Will they come up strong at the State Farm Stadium?

Qatar confirmed starting XI

Felix Sanchez Bas' team has been absolutely flying over the past few months, as it hasn't lost a game since November 2020. Despite being newcomers to the Gold Cup, Qatar have made quite an impression by winning Group D.

Following a remarkable win over Honduras, Sanchez Bas wouldn't make further changes to the team, so this is how Qatar will line up: Meshal Barsham; Pedro Miguel, Bassam Al Rawi, Khoukhi Boualem, Abdelkarim Hassan, Homad Ahmed; Hassan Al Haydos, Karim Boudiaf, Abdelaziz Hatim; Akram Afif, Al Moez Ali.

El Salvador confirmed lineup

After leading El Salvador to the Final Round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifying, Hugo Perez now wants to get his side into the Gold Cup semifinals for the first time ever. La Selecta have started their journey on the right foot despite losing on Matchday 3.

In fact, they have created chances to put themselves ahead against Mexico, but they failed to capitalize on them and ended up losing by one. This will be El Salvador's lineup: Mario Martínez; Bryan Tamacas, Eriq Zavaleta, Ronald Gómez, Alexander Larín; Joshua Pérez, Darwin Cerén, Amando Moreno, Alexander Roldán; Joaquín Rivas, Jairo Henriquez.
