Revenge games are something the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a> gives us constantly. People come and go from teams but sometimes, there is a spice to it. However, now that Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears will face Spencer Rattler and the New Orleans Saints, one of Ben Johnson‘s coordinators will have a revenge game of his own.



Dennis Allen was fired by the Raiders in 2014. Then, he spent seven seasons on the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/new-orleans-saints" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Saints</a> as defensive coordinator, and was promoted to head coach after Sean Payton’s departure. However, Allen was let go eventually and is now the DC of the Bears.

We were a part of a lot of success there. I’ve got fond memories of it, but this week is really all about let’s focus on the football. This is going to be about the players on the field, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/chicago-bears" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bears</a> versus the Saints, those guys will really determine the outcome of the game.”



<h2>Allen’s time in New Orleans was a tale of two parts</h2>



As a defensive coordinator, Allen is lowkey elite. He is a brilliant defensive mind. In five of his seven seasons as the Saints’ DC, he had them always in the top half in points allowed, yards allowed and takeaways. He was the mastermind behind a top-tier defense.

As a head coach though, it’s a different story. In fact, he coached the Saints for three seasons and had only one winning season. That is the only winning season he’s ever had as a head coach. His record as HC is 26-53. Allen knows his best place to shine is to be the DC of a team led by an offensive-minded head coach, which is what he is doing now with <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/ben-johnson" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ben Johnson</a>.

The Bears are 3-2 in the first year of Ben Johnson’s era. They are also on a three-game win streak. But Troy Aikman, Hall of Famer and now NFL analyst, said the Bears are not a great team yet, and Ben Johnson took offense to that.

During his time at the Oklahoma Sooners, Spencer Rattler lost his starting quarterback job to <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/caleb-williams" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Caleb Williams</a>. While many assume Rattler may be seeking revenge, he sees being benched in college as a crucial step that ultimately helped him reach the NFL.



“We all have our own paths and we’ve got to do our best with our own paths,” Rattler said. “It is what it is. The past is the past. We’re focused on the present and the future, but I would say, yeah, that definitely led me to South Carolina. It was a blessing in disguise that I got to play with the Gamecocks and develop there, get ready to the league after that. I’ll say what’s up to him at the game. I’ve got respect for him. Good player.”

When Rattler lost his starting role to Williams, few were surprised. Williams was a generational talent who later became the No. 1 overall pick, while Rattler fell to the fifth round.

Granderson is trending toward a career season, finishing with 4.5 sacks through the first six weeks. He had a career-high 8.5 in 2023.”



The defensive end has recorded 269 tackles, 33 sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries during his seven-year career. The Eagles could get more dangerous with a player of this caliber.

“The Ohio State product is also set to play on the fifth-year option in 2026, meaning he’s under contract for two more seasons. And, according to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, teams believe the Saints will be willing to sell the 25-year-old. Olave should be high on the wish list of receiver-needy teams,” he added.



Olave has caught 33 passes for 244 yards and one touchdown this season. He could be a terrific addition to Aaron Rodgers’ arsenal and a solid tandem for DK Metcalf. The Steelers are in a much better position than the Saints, and adding Olave to the mix could take them to the next level.
