The executive explained that both parties have been unable to reach an agreement right now. Hopefully, that doesn’t mean they won’t be able to reach one in free agency:

The 2024 <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a> season won’t start until September, but teams are already preparing for it. The <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/chicago-bears">Chicago Bears</a>, for instance, are landing a former <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/super-bowl">Super Bowl</a> champion with <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/tom-brady">Tom Brady</a> at the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/tampa-bay-buccaneers">Tampa Bay Buccaneers</a>.



On Friday, the team announced the hiring of Ryan Griffin as an offensive assistant. The 34-year-old will be working with the Bucs’ group of quarterbacks and wide receivers throughout the year, aiming to help the players with his nine-year experience in the league.



Griffin entered the NFL in 2013, joining the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/new-orleans-saints">New Orleans Saints</a> after going undrafted. He joined the Buccaneers two years later and went on to spend eight seasons in Tampa Bay, being part of the roster that won the championship in 2021.



He never got much playing time with the team, completing just 2 out of 4 passes for 18 yards in one appearance. But Griffin did spend enough time watching Brady on practice, so he may have learned a thing or two from the legendary QB on his way to coaching.

<h2>Bears have coaching staff ready for 2024</h2>



Matt Eberflus also made other changes to his coaching staff ahead of his third season at the helm of the Bears. Shane Waldron will take over the offensive duties, while Eric Washington will serve as defensive coordinator.

The wide receiver could still receive a contract extension, but offering him a new deal and not taking advantage of that extra incentive they had available wouldn’t make much sense now. Starting on March 11, Evans would be free to sign with any team.

“Me and Coach Belichick, we did what we loved and competed for 20 years together,” Brady said in the documentary, via The Athletic. “But I wasn’t going to sign another contract (in New England) even if I wanted to play until (I was) 50. Based on how things had gone, I wasn’t going to sign up for more of it.“



The night before his announcement, Brady visited Robert Kraft’s house. According to reports, the Patriots owner tried to convince him not to leave New England, but the quarterback had his decision very clear.

To be the only NFC team to go to the playoffs four years in a row? That’s very satisfying, for me especially.“



Regarding Mike Evans, whos contract has also ended, Arians is confident that he’ll return this year with the Bucs. He had his third best year since he entered the league in 2024, with 1,255 yards in 79 receptions and 13 touchdowns.

“Nothing at all,” Arians said when asked if there is any sign of Evans slowing down due to his age. “I don’t think there’s going to be any doubt that he’ll continue, especially if we’re fortunate enough to keep him and Baker together, because they’ve got that good rapport already. I don’t see that there’s any downside to Mike at all. He might even get better.“

Last year, the Buccaneers offered Baker Mayfield a one-year, $4 million contract to play the 2023 season. They were hesitant to offer him a longer and more lucrative deal, but now circumstances might change.
