Aaron Rodgers continues to show that his doubters were wrong after another victory with the Steelers over the Cleveland Browns. Now, the buzz around the NFL is whether this team truly has what it takes to compete against contenders like the Buffalo Bills or the Kansas City Chiefs.
“That’s where we want to be and we’re putting ourselves into position to start entering the conversation, but, a lot can happen. There’s a lot of time between now and December football. December football is when you want to be playing your best, but you also want to be healthy.”
Rodgers was very cautious despite a 4-1 record. The next few weeks will be key to determine if the Pittsburgh Steelers are ready to break their playoff drought. After the game against the Bengals next Thursday, the schedule will pit them against the Packers, Colts, and Chargers.
Do the Steelers have a chance at the playoffs?
Yes. The Steelers have a great chance of making the playoffs considering the current state of the AFC North. Pittsburgh controls first place with a 4-1 record, and their most dangerous rival, the Baltimore Ravens, have had a disappointing 1-5 start.
The Cleveland Browns seem out of the race with only rookie quarterbacks on their roster, and the Bengals have lost Joe Burrow for at least three months. For that reason, Rodgers admits that by playing clean football, anything is possible.

“I think we’re playing pretty smart football. I think Arthur Smith got us into a good rhythm today. When we take care of the football and don’t turn it over, we’re going to have a chance. Any game. And then if we can control the line of scrimmage, we’re really going to be playing downhill. I thought the key to the last two games has been in first and second downs. When we’re efficient on those, we usually score points on those drives. When we’re not, there have been some three and outs.”
