According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/pete-carroll" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Carroll</a> said that Bowers and Meyers should return for November 2nd against the Jaguars, which is after the team’s bye. The Raiders just lost 31-0 to the Chiefs, so they desperately need both of them back.

Now, Bowers have been playing with a knee injury, but in all fairness, it’s one of two options. First, Geno Smith is not executing the playbook properly. Second, offensive coordinator Chip Kelly might not be doing a good job scheming the offense.

This team was placed by many analysts and pundits to be in the playoffs. Jeanty’s style is what could make him a great fit in a physical style like Chip Kelly will want to impose in this offense. “I don’t really shy away from contact, and once I make my read, I get north and south quickly. If you’re in the way, that’s your fault,” Jeanty said later in the interview. “Everybody doesn’t like that. I don’t know why I like it. Maybe I’m a little bit psychotic.” Those are the most Raiders words ever spoken.



<h2>Pete Carroll loves a physical back, Jeanty is perfect for that</h2>



While Chip Kelly is the offensive coordinator, Carroll is still the boss. One thing is for sure, he has had lots of success with physical running backs in the past. The most notable one is Marshawn Lynch, who won a Super Bowl and played on another during his time at Seattle. Jeanty sort of fits that model. Chris Carson was also a very good back during his short career.

Jeanty was second in the Heisman voting last year after racking up 2601 yards and 29 touchdowns. It was as good as a season could be for him. If he could do half of that during his rookie season, all people inside the organization would be happy. The player recently released was Christian Wilkins, who just a year ago signed a 4-year, $110 million deal with the Raiders — a move that seemed to signal long-term stability for both sides. But things took a turn due to a foot injury.



According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Wilkins reportedly failed to take the necessary steps in his recovery, which became a key reason behind his release. As a result, he won’t even see half of the money he was due under that massive contract.

“The belief is Christian Wilkins was told he needed another surgery on his foot, but he balked at getting it. The reason the Raiders voided his guarantees was due to what they cited as a ‘failure to maintain his physical condition to play,’” McFadden reported.



<h2>How much were the Raiders on the hook for?</h2>



As early as June, it became clear the Raiders were not going to pay Wilkins the guaranteed money in his <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a> contract — more than $35 million that was still owed as part of the $110 million deal.



“Wilkins has been recovering from a Jones fracture, which he suffered in his left foot last October. Because of how Wilkins has treated the rehab from his injury, the Raiders voided the remaining $35.2 million of guaranteed money left on his contract on June 4, sources said,” McFadden wrote for ESPN.

However, it was one of the last year’s moves the one that took everyone by surprise with his latest revelations. Brock Bowers was drafted last season by the Raiders and his rookie year was stellar, earning an All-Pro selection. However, it seems Bowers didn’t even know about the Raiders interest in him.



The tight end appeared on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast and he shared the story about his pick. “It’s actually kind of funny, it’s always like the team you least expect to pick you,” Bowers&nbsp;said. “I didn’t talk to them [Raiders] a ton, I talked to other teams a lot more and then I get a call. Me and my agent are talking and Las Vegas isn’t even in the picture really. … All of a sudden I get a call and it says Las Vegas, Nevada. I said, ‘Should I pick this up?’ and he said, ‘Hell yeah pick it up!’“



<h2>Brock Bowers was pure gold in 2024</h2>



Hailing from Georgia, Bowers went to Sin City and instantly delivered. He posted 112 catches and 1,194 yards to go alongside 5 touchdowns. He was one of the few bright spots the Raiders had last season.
