Needless to say, morale is at an all-time low in the Bay area. You just can tell in the player’s body language that they’re about to give up, and it doesn’t seem like they have a solution in sight.

It didn’t take long before Draymond made his presence felt again. However, it wasn’t on the court but after the game, as he put himself and his teammates on blast over their lack of defensive commitment.

“You just gotta have pride in yourself as a man that ‘I’m not gonna let my guy score.’ Closeouts were too soft [and] our rotations were too slow,” Green said after the game. “There’s just no pride. Until every guy takes pride in themselves and wanna stop the guy in front of them, we’ll suck. We can’t check. We can’t guard nobody. Until we guard, we’ll lose. It starts with the person on the ball and everybody else behind it. It’s everybody.”



The Warriors have struggled to find any sort of consistency on either side of the floor this season. They need Stephen Curry to put up 30+ on a nightly basis to barely keep up with their opponents.

Murray took some shots at Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs, so maybe that bridge is burned already. Then again, they desperately crave a true playmaker, and the prospect of having him in the pick-and-roll with Victor Wembanyama is more than exciting.



The Spurs won’t compete for now, but they do have some promising players and will likely have another top-three pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. If Murray is willing to go back to Texas, he could significantly raise their floor and ceiling for next season.

“I’ve been coming off the bench since I’ve been here so that don’t affect me at all,” said the former top-10 pick. “I mean I stay professional as long as I go out there and just like I always say just go out there and help my team win.”

“I think Draymond knows his career is on the line. “We have a standard that’s pretty evident that if things stay the same,” Curry said after the game. “That’s the definition of insanity, right? Keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result?”

“I don’t even know what to say about it because I don’t want to be prisoners of the moment and understand, we’re obviously struggling,” Curry said of the boos. “There’s nothing to really cheer about, so obviously, the cheering is booing might as well. I don’t take it any certain type of way.”



Steph is well aware of the fact that the team has failed to live up to the expectations and their own standards, and he’s not satisfied with his performances either:



“Honestly, I’m booing myself booing our team in my head because of the way we’re playing,” the point guard continued. “So, you know, it is what it is; fans are going to react the way they want. It’s our job to give them something to cheer about, and we have not done that.”

Besides his contributions on the court, Kuminga is reportedly quite close with team owner Joe Lacob, who’s been instrumental in keeping him in the Bay area throughout the course of the years:



“And a not insignificant detail is that Kuminga is said to have a very close relationship with Warriors owner Joe Lacob who has historically been reluctant to part with any of the young talent that represents the Warriors’ so-called ‘two-timelines’ strategy of meshing a group of young draftees with their established championship core,” Grange added.

Green tipped his hat to the Commissioner and praised him for being more about helping the players and not so much about punishing them. Clearly, it was never personal for Silver:



“We had a long, great conversation — very helpful to me,” Green added. “[I’m] Very thankful to play in a league with a commissioner like Adam who’s more about helping you than hurting you; helping you than punishing you. He’s more about the players.”
