The guard posted phrases saying<strong> <em>“Love ya ma,” “Love ya pops” </em>and <em>“You da greatest baby girl, love ya”</em></strong>, alongside <strong>pictures of each member of his family</strong>. The stories have already been deleted.</p>



<p>All those images <strong>alerted the police</strong>, NBA fans and, of course, his family. The last picture was of himself alongside the word <strong><em>“Bye”</em></strong>. Officers checked on <strong>Ja Morant</strong> and then the Sheriff’s Office released a statement about his status.</p>

<p>Ja didn’t break any law, and he does have a right to own a gun; those points are fair. But two wrongs don’t make a right, <strong>and the NBA has the power to do something about what they can control.</strong></p>



<p>They cannot control politics, they cannot control how polititians handle themselves.<strong> But what they can do is look to make an impact through their stars and role models.</strong></p>



<p>The issue isn’t that Ja owns a gun.
