But perhaps the biggest loss for the Packers came after the actual game.

Love completed 7 out of 10 passes, throwing for 46 yards and one touchdown before handing the reins to Sean Clifford. After the game, Matt LaFleur drew parallels between his signal-caller and Minnesota Vikings star Kirk Cousins.

Even though the team has promising talent in its WR room, it’s true that an experienced player would help not only to their development but also to get results. Odell Beckham Jr. is still out there, but he has other options as well.

I do think, just thinking about expectations, and certainly people expect — we all expect — a certain level from him every time and especially when you’re coming off back-to-back MVP seasons. I think you’ve got to be realistic about the situation, too, in terms of, you’re losing almost your entire receiving corps and there’s a lot of new pieces around ya. There’s going to be a learning curve to that. Not to make excuses, it is what it is.”

Clearly, LaFleur also expects Jordan Love to be in the mix for a starting spot next season, but the job will continue to be Rodgers’ to lose. Love has shown close to nothing when given the nod, but that all can change in the offseason.
Still, Rodgers is just too good and too great to waste one of the final years of his career on a team that’s rebuilding its receiving corps. And you never know what to expect from such a volatile guy like him.

And no different than when we’re in those team meetings. You always call it how it is. And I don’t think anybody’s off limits, starting with myself.
“We definitely addressed just accountability and how we’re all accountable to one another, and we need everybody, you know, doing everything the right way,” LaFleur added. “All the little things will add up to big things. And it’s how you prepare. It’s, shoot, it’s how you treat people in the building. It’s all of that. Everything we do matters.
“And so I think what he was trying to get across, and you guys can obviously talk to him about that, but is just everybody’s got to be on top of their game. And it starts with us as coaches, first and foremost. Making sure we’re on the details. Making sure that not only do we communicate the finer intricacies of whatever it is, the fundamentals, the plays, but putting our guys through those, so that when you get into a game situation, it’s not the first time they’ve ever seen it. So Ithink collectively everybody’s has to got to pick up their game. And we’re not doing a good enough job obviously as an entire football team.”
Many will probably feel disappointed with LaFleur’s reaction, though we don’t know how he’s handling this situation internally. Either way, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/nfl-news-aaron-rodgers-sends-message-to-the-packers-front-office-20221017-0016.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rodgers</a> and the Packers need to put it together fast because the Bills are up next on Sunday night.

After all, it will be Rodgers who will let the world know whether he’s staying or not. That’s why LaFleur doesn’t want to put any pressure and let the quarterback decide what he considers best for his future.
“You always want to be respectful,” LaFleur said. “I know it’s a lot to take on, he’s got a lot to think about, and certainly I’m making sure that I’m consistently communicating with him but also want to be respectful of his time and the process that he has to go through.”

And now that the campaign has ended and they went home empty-handed, speculation rose once again. Will he be back with the Packers?
<h2>Matt LaFleur Says Packers Are Hopeful Aaron Rodgers Will Be Back</h2>
Per Green Bay’s HC Matt LaFleur, there’s not even adebate’ withinthe organization or coaching staff: They want Aaron Rodgers back and is the guy they feel can lead them to success:
“I sat down and talked to Aaron today for quite some time. I think we’re all a little numb to the situation right now,” LaFleur told the media, per ProFootballTalk. “But we’re hopeful that he’ll be back next year, obviously. I mean, this guy has done so much for such a long period of time for this organization, for this city, for this team. And so, I want to be respectful of his process — whatever he needs to go through to make the best decision for himself. And certainly, we would love for him to be a Packer and be a Packer until the dayhe decides to retire.”

<h2>Rodgers Isn’t Sure About His Future</h2>
Following another tough loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the legendary gunslinger talked deep about his future and how he’ll take a lot of time to make his decision on whether he’ll come back, play for another team, or retire:
“I did not think we’d be talking about this after this game,” Rodgers said after the game. “I’m going to take some time and have conversations with the folks around here and then take some time away and make a decision, obviously before free agency or anything kind of gets going on that front.”
“There’s a lot of decisions to be made,”he added. “There’s a lot of players whose futures are up in the air. Definitely will be interesting to see which way some of those decisions go. But I’ll have conversations with [Packers GM Brian Gutekunst] the next week or so and get a little more clarity and think about my own future and how much longer I want to keep doing this.”
The Packers have had Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers leading their offense for the past two decades or so and only have two Super Bowls to show for it, so we can only imagine how the team would plummet without their HoF quarterback behind center next season.

When the Packers hired LaFleur in 2019, there was certain skepticism around him. Appearing in The Pat McAfee Show this week, the veteran quarterback was full of praise for his coach.
“We went out and found a guy who would fit, who would fit in the region, who would bring together a good staff, who him and I could get along well. It’s obviously worked out really well,” Rodgers said.

Nonetheless, Packers coach Matt LaFleur doesn’t think that Rodgers’ offseason drama will take a toll on the team, claiming that they were beaten fair and square by the Saints and that there wasn’t anything else to read into it:

“There’s a national media site that just before you got in her published a story saying that Rodgers’s uncertain status might have impacted things yesterday,” the reporter said, before asking LaFleur whether there’s anything to that.
“No, I think this team’s focused on now,” LaFleur replied. “And unfortunately, sometimes in this league you get humbled. And certainly we got humbled. Like I said, it’s about how we respond to that. How we come back to work. How we stay together. And get ready to play against a team I know is gonna be really hungry coming in here.”
That’s just classic coach talk right there. Even if Rodgers’ situation did affect the team, he’s not going to stir the pot by admitting it. Hopefully, they’ll be able to turn the page quickly and this doesn’t become a season-long story.
