Philip Dorsett, a standout wide receiver, recently discussed his career on “The Money Down Podcast.” When asked about the most talented quarterback he had played with, he didn’t name Tom Brady but instead chose <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/andrew-luck" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Andrew Luck</a>.



“Andrew was amazing,” Dorsett said. “I always say this to everybody — people ask me, because they know I played with Tom — they was like, ‘Dang, who was the best quarterback you played with?’ I be like, ‘Be honest with you, when it comes to talent, it was Andrew Luck, for sure.&apos;”

“Talent-wise, Andrew was different,” Dorsett said. “He was just a natural born leader, he was still young, and the way he carried himself, you would think this man was a 10-year vet.



“He was tough as hell. He had a strong arm, was smart, was accurate. It’s just injuries. It was football. Sometimes you get hurt, you get tired of getting hurt.”



<h2>Why did Andrew Luck retire?</h2>



Andrew Luck is one of those players everyone wished had played longer. As Dorsett mentioned, the quarterback had remarkable talent, but he decided to leave football to avoid major injuries.

Though one would think it may be an awkward feeling for Bill’s son to be there without his father, Brian Belichick believes there’s actually something positive from this separation.



“(I don’t want to) get into personal family dynamics, but in a way, I think it was good for us to have some separation from being in a football building every day and seeing each other, now we’re not just connected by football,” Brian Belichick said, via NESN. “It’s not that it was that way before, but we talk about different things because we’re in different places. It was hard not to get caught up in that when you see each other at work every day.”

Drake Maye has not yet signed his rookie contract with the New England Patriots. The quarterback still has some time to review all the details, but it seems like only a matter of time before he inks his NFL deal.

According to Spotrac, the 3rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft is projected to sign a four-year, $35.7 million with a signing bonus of $22.8 million. He would earn $8.9 million per year with a fifth-year option available.

“I would say we’re going to compete all spring. We’re going to compete during training camp, and the best player will start,” Mayo told Cameron Wolfe of NFL Media about Maye, as quoted by Pro Football Talk.

Maye made an impression during his time at UNC, leading the Tar Heels to the 2022 ACC Championship Game while setting a school record 4,321 passing yards and 38 passing touchdowns.

Brissett, however, has eight years and 48 starts in the NFL under his belt, including one season with the Patriots in 2016, being part of the roster that won <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/super-bowl">Super Bowl</a> LI.

“I love Tom, and the door is always open if he wants to come in here and coach,” the coach said on WEEI. “But as far as going on the field, I don’t know. But if he comes in here, once again, going back to the ‘hey, the best player will play,’ you’ve gotta come in here in compete, and he loves competition. I doubt he’s gonna be walking through these doors any time soon.”

Although Wolf admitted he will be ‘comfortable’ picking one of the three best quarterbacks in the Draft, a trade is not out of the question considering many teams are also looking to climb spots for a QB.



“When you’re picking this high, fortunately, those teams that are interested are also doing that, So, they’ll reach out earlier than they would when we’re on the clock. That makes it easier in this particular situation.”
