“After a long stare, Stephen Curry eventually tried to walk off his frothing mood, stirred by Draymond Green’s ejection, and shaking his head as disbelief morphed into disapproval,” wrote Thompson. “Words weren’t necessary to comprehend Curry’s thoughts. Some 90 percent of effective communication is nonverbal anyway. With sealed lips and a clenched jaw, Curry was yelling.”



Following the win, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nba/nba-news-stephen-curry-sends-special-message-to-draymond-green-after-ejection-against-magic" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Steph called Green out</a> and reminded him how much his team needs him. It’s evident that he’s finally reaching his breaking point, and that could lead to multiple changes in the offseason.

<h2>Stephen Curry sends message to Draymond Green</h2>



Draymond Green had been already suspended indefinitely this season after hitting Jusuf Nurkic of the Phoenix Suns. The NBA and the Golden State Warriors were confident he would recover mentally, but, during Wednesday’s game against the Magic, the star lost control with referee Ray Acosta.







After receiving the first technical foul, Green continued to yell at Acosta, leading to the second technical foul and consequently his ejection. There were 8:24 left in the first quarter.

The Warriors’ supporting cast has been lacking, and GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. was unable or unwilling to improve the roster midseason.

With that in mind, Warriors beat writer Marcus Thompson II showed his concerns about the future of the dynasty. They’re not in a good spot, draft-wise, and money will also be tight:

They don’t have high enough picks to draft such a talent,” wrote Thompson. “They likely won’t even have their 2024 first-round pick (due to their 2019 trade with the Grizzlies to take Andre Iguodala’s contract). They don’t have the salary cap space to sign that player. And they probably wasted their best trade-deadline chip (Chris Paul’s expiring $30 million salary) to get one.”

As things stand now, Jonathan Kuminga might be the Warriors’ only hope. He has shown glimpses of greatness, but they need him to be that consistent No. 2 option besides Steph:



“If there is any salvation in the torturous inconsistency of the Warriors’ season, it’s Kuminga’s development and the unearthed possibility of him being the future co-bearer of their offense,” Thompson added. “Kuminga might be the best option down the road. But even with his potential, it’s going to take a leap to get him ready for that role.”

“We’ve got Chris Paul out there,” Kerr said after the loss. “We’ve got Klay (Thompson). We’ve got Draymond (Green). We’ve got great players out there. We can’t expect to just ride Steph game after game after game.”



The coach added that Curry may not be able to withstand the physical burden of playing heavy minutes every night at this point in his career. He’s averaged just shy of 33 minutes a night this season:



“These last few weeks have been really tough on him. We’ve put the burden of this franchise on his shoulders for… 15 years? We can’t expect him to play 35 minutes,” Kerr continued. “We’ve got five games in seven days on this road trip. If you want to say that him playing 30 minutes instead of 32 was the difference between the win and the loss, I totally disagree with that. We’re trying to win the game. We’re trying to keep them fresh, too.”

“I think about it all the time. Apart from the Los Angeles Lakers star and the Golden State Warriors icon, Dame named himself alongside <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/miami-heat">Miami Heat</a> center Bam Adebayo and Phoenix Suns‘ <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/kevin-durant">Kevin Durant</a> in his TikTok interview with NelsonTheProdigy_.



Damian Lillard, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Bam Adebayo. That’s quite a star-studded lineup, and maybe Dame didn’t intend to snub Giannis but to praise other stars he hasn’t played with in the NBA.



<h2>Giannis strongly supports Lillard</h2>



Pairing Lillard with Giannis hasn’t gone to plan for the Bucks so far, even though the team went to the All-Star break sitting third in the East. But the Greek star believes in his teammate anyway.

“I am his biggest fan,” Antetokounmpo said of Lillard to Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “Good or bad, I ride with Dame until the f—— end. I ride with Dame. Like I’ve been saying this over and over again. This. Is. His. Team. Down the stretch, he’s going to get the ball. There’s nothing else that we will do. I don’t know how else to put it. I don’t know what else to say.”

Lillard is shooting just 42% this season, which is lower than expected for a shooter of his caliber. Before moving to Milwaukee this season, Dame spent 11 seasons trying to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to an NBA championship.



After failing to get enough help from the front office, the 33-year-old requested a trade with his sights set on joining last year’s runners-up Miami Heat. He ended up being sent to Milwaukee, which also appeared to be a good fit.



But the Bucks are not going through the best of times right now, riding on a 3-7 record since Doc Rivers took over. Before that, the franchise fired Adrian Griffin aiming to see an improvement on the court.

The franchise has now set a standard for excellence and won’t settle for anything less.



Unfortunately, all great things eventually come to an end, and Curry’s career won’t be the exception to that rule. He’s about to turn 36, so he’s inching closer to the end of his playing days than to the start of his career.



<h2>Curry Admits He Thinks About Retirement Often</h2>



Given those circumstances, the 10-time All-Star admitted that retirement has been on the back of his head for quite a while now. However, that doesn’t mean he’s going to walk away any time soon:

“I think about it all the time. But, those thoughts stop because you gotta get ready for the next game,” Curry said during the All-Star Weekend. “There’s a routine and cycle. You embrace the now. Eventually, you’ll get to a point where you wake up and whatever your body is telling you, or if your mind is telling you it’s time. But, I don’t think I’m anywhere close to that.”



The Warriors will continue to be competitive for as long as Steph is healthy and on the floor. However, they need to figure out what to do with the rest of his supporting cast.
