Deshaun Watson is probably living his last moments as a Houston Texans player after rumors surfaced suggesting he wasn’t on good terms with the team after not being more involved in the GM search.

The quarterback is the franchise player of the team and as much as they want to keep him on board, it doesn’t seem like Deshaun will stay much longer in Houston. He’s ready to leave his franchise but nobody knows where he will end up landing.

A couple of weeks ago, former teammate Tyrann Mathieu named three teams that could land Watson and now everybody wants to give their two pennies in this situation. It’s time to jump on that speculation train and name the three best destinations for Deshaun Watson this offseason.

3. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have expressed their desire to keep Jimmy Garoppolo as the starting quarterback of the team but this wouldn’t be the first time a franchise does something different from what they say. Jimmy G took the team to the Super Bowl last year but it’s unclear what kind of player will return after he’s fully recovered from a season-ending injury.

Some people believe Garoppolo would be joined by Nick Bosa, a first-round pick in 2021 and a first-round pick in 2022 in order to convince the Texans to ship Watson to Santa Clara. Kyle Shanahan would get a big quarterback to run the offense and the Texans would receive very attractive pieces plus picks.

2. New York Jets

The New York Jets have been part of a lot of rumors in recent times. The New Yorkers missed out on the chance to land Trevor Lawrence in the upcoming NFL draft and even though they might be sticking with Sam Darnold, trading for Watson doesn’t look like a bad idea for the team.

The Jets could send their No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, 23rd overall pick in 2021 NFL Draft, a second-round pick in 2022, and quarterback Sam Darnold in exchange for Watson. He’s a franchise player and the Jets would start their new project under Robert Saleh with Watson leading the way. The Texans would get a lot of picks to start rebuilding a franchise that was dismantled by Bill O’Brien.

1. Chicago Bears

The Bears are the team with the most needs at the quarterback position. They tried to use a 2-quarterback system this season but not like the Miami Dolphins; they did it because their QBs couldn’t have two good straight games. Trading for Watson would solve a lot of problems for this team that demonstrated they can compete in the regular season.

Texans could get three 1st-round draft picks, two 2nd-round draft picks, one 3rd-round draft pick for Watson, good enough to start their rebuilding process. Watson would land in a team whose level would be elevated with his presence. Deshaun would make the Bears a real threat in their division and conference.
