The New York Jets are entering an offseason with a lot of questions to answer. The New Yorkers have plenty of work to do before the next NFL season and they started very well by landing Robert Saleh as their new head coach.

Saleh is regarded as one of the smartest coaches in the NFL and someone who can bring a lot from his players. Now the focus is on the roster for the Jets, especially after incredibly missing out on the chance to land Trevor Lawrence in the upcoming NFL draft.

They hold the No. 2 overall pick now and it’s unclear if they will use it or trade it. Plenty of people believe it’s time for Sam Darnold to step aside and leave his spot for another quarterback at MetLife Stadium.

Sam Darnold is likely to remain as the Jets’ starting QB

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Jets are planning to keep Darnold as their starting quarterback. The insider reveals the team is planning to give another opportunity to the quarterback and see how he does with a new HC and different players around him.

The Jets have been struggling for quite some time now and they hope the signing of Saleh will improve their level after a very embarrassing season. They couldn’t get Trevor Lawrence but not everything is bad for the team.

If they manage to get a couple of good pieces, perhaps Darnold can become the quarterback he’s expected to be ever since he entered the league. Reports suggest they’re open to trade the pick or draft a wide receiver or an offensive tackle.
