Gyokeres gives Sweden dramatic 3-2 win vs Poland to clinch 2026 World Cup spot

Sweden were able to secure a last-minute goal to seal a 3–2 win over Poland, taking the ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will be placed in Group F.

Sweden have defeated Poland in a high-stakes winner-takes-all showdown. With a dramatic last-minute goal scored by Arsenal star Victor Gyokeres, the Yellow and Blue have secured a spot in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup to be played in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The game started with an early goal by Anthony Elanga that made Solna burst into joy. A few minutes later, Nicola Zalewski appeared to momentarily tie the game for Poland, but Sweden took the advantage again before halftime with a goal by Gustaf Lagerbielke.
