<p>The Detroit Tigers were established in the MLB in 1901, they were originally established in 1894. They have won four World Series in 1935, 1945, 1968, and lastly in 1984. <strong>They have had some amazing players on their roster, includingAlan Trammell, “Sweet Lou” Whitaker, Charlie Gehringer, Al Kaline, and none other than the legendary Ty Cobb.</strong></p>
<p>While the Detroit Tigers have been in rebuilding mode since 2017 the fans still remember that very impressive stretch during the 2011 – 2014 season. <strong>The club won the AL Central championship in four consecutive seasons (2011-2014) but fell short in the ALCS except in 2012 where afterward they were swept by the San Francisco Giants in four games in the World Series. </strong>That being said the Tigers are looking to come back and with a bang so why not have them dress for the occasion.</p>

<p><strong>The home jersey is inspired by the <a href="https://www.mlb.com/tigers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Detroit Tigers </a>name and follows a tiger stripe pattern.</strong> The club’s classic team logo is what is used as the crest and the classic orange, white, and dark blue color patterns are maintained in different areas of the jersey. The Tigers are in rebuilding mode if they want to come back and strike fear in their opponents with this home jersey it will make Comerica Park a tough place to play.</p>
<p><strong>Did you know that the Detroit Tigers got their name because of the Civil War? The Detroit Light Guard was a military group that fought during the war and the members were referred to as Tigers. </strong>When the war ended the group returned to the city and was considered one of the most highly regarded groups ever to come out of Detroit. The Baseball team asked the members to incorporate the name to their team and once they accepted the Detroit Tigers became the Tigers.</p>

<p>The crest is the classic D logo in orange. The logo has been around in one way or another since 1904 in this case <strong>we spiced it up by giving the logo an orange color and adding the strips within the logo to further detail the tiger name and brand. </strong>It’s a different take on the logo’s colors while the jersey incorporates the classic white and dark blue color pattern.</p>

<p>On the back, the neck sports the alternative logo, whichis the face of a Tiger. <strong>The face of a tiger has been a part of the logo of the club in various forms or another, striking fear in their rivals with the tiger roaring at opponents.</strong> This time the opponents will be viewing the tiger face from the back while eating the players’ dust as they blow past them on the field.</p>

<p>We got really creative with the away jersey, we thought what else truly signifies Detroit and that is the American automotive industry. <strong>Detroit has widely been recognized as the “Motor City” because of the various automotive companies that are located in the state of Michigan: Ford, GM, Chevrolet to name a few. The jersey pays homage to that industry with a car design so to speak.</strong></p>

<p>If you look closely the two lines down the middle have tiger stripes on them. W<strong>e maintain the idea of the Motor City but the Tigers as a club and brand are still present. </strong>The Tigers want to get back and running as soon as possible and this jersey design incorporated that club ferocity and the speed and power that define American cars.</p>

The team owner was forced to sell them due to several debts and the new ownership traded away most of their starters. The result? 111 losses and just 39 victories. Ironically, they were later called ‘The Perfectos’ before becoming the Cardinals.</p>

They finished the season with 115 losses and 61.5 games back of first place. That was a terrible way to end <em>‘The Bambino’s’</em> career.</p>

<p><strong>Record:</strong> 36-117 (.235)<br> The 1916<strong> Philadelphia Athletics </strong>may be the most infamous team the league has seen in over a century. They don’t have the most losses because of a shortened season but can still ‘brag’ about having the worst winning percentage ever. Then again, let’s remember Connie Mack had gotten rid of most of their players.</p>
<h2>5. Washington Nationals (1886)</h2>

<p><strong>Record: </strong>28-92 (.233)<br> It’s pretty normal to watch debuting teams struggle early on. Even so, the 1886 <strong>Washington Nationals </strong>took that trend way too far, as they were only able to win 28 out of their 120 games. Needless to say, it wasn’t the best way to start their participation in Major League Baseball. They ceased to exist three years later.</p>
<h2>4. St. Louis Browns (1897)</h2>

<p><strong>Record:</strong> 29-102 (.221)<br> As we mentioned before,<strong> St. Louis Browns’ </strong>ownerChris von der Ahe was going through some stuff during the late-1890’s. The team clearly wasn’t his priority and it showed when they won just 29 out of 131 games in 1897. Gladly for the team, their sale made them the respectable franchise the Cardinals are today.</p>
<h2>3. Louisville Colonels (1889)</h2>

<p><strong>Record: </strong>18-120 (.122)<br> The <strong>Louisville Colonels</strong> hold the record for fewer wins in a season (18) and were the first team to lose over 100 games in one year. Playerfines, a manager being fired, poor pitching and even worse batting condemned the Colonels’ season early on. It was the final season in franchise history.</p>

<p><strong>Record:</strong> 23-113 (.169)<br> Long before becoming the Pittsburgh Pirates as we know themtoday, the <strong>Pittsburgh Alleghenys </strong>were far from being a successful franchise. They had one of the worst MLB records ever as the team was mostly filled by amateurplayers. They finished 66.5 games behind the first place.</p>

<p><strong>Record:</strong> 20-134 (.130)<br> The <strong>Cleveland Spiders </strong>are infamous for having the worst MLB record of all time. It was the 13th and final season in franchise history, as the team’s owners also bought the St. Louis Browns (Cardinals). They had 101 road losses (unbreakable under today’s schedules). The rest of the NL teams didn’t want to travel because their poor attendance and revenue couldn’t even help them cover hotel expenses. They’re the worst baseball team ever.</p>
