“If you’re going to use Magic as the best point guard, I’m going to use LeBron,” Arenas said on his show. “Now LeBron is the No. 1 point guard. They’re gonna say, ‘Oh LeBron’s not a point guard. He’s led his team in assists every f***ing year.”



“He has to be the best point guard of all time. LeBron was 2.0 of Magic. Coming into the NBA, he was Magic Johnson with Michael Jordan’s jumping ability. If you’re gonna use Magic as a point guard, you have to throw out LeBron as the greatest ever,” added Arenas.

If you look at it that way, then he has a valid point. But then, we need to define the criteria of what a true point guard is and whether LeBron James would qualify as one.

A couple of months ago, the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/philadelphia-76ers" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Philadelphia 76ers</a> fired coach Doc Rivers. He failed to lead the team to a new level and fulfill their potential as an <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/nba" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NBA</a> championship contender.



Rivers has a long history of shortcomings in the league. He did win a championship with the Boston Celtics, but most of his tenures have been full of postseason meltdowns.



That includes his final days with the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/los-angeles-clippers" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Los Angeles Clippers</a>. That’s why when he knew he was about to get fired, he sabotaged Tyronn Lue to try and land the Sixers’ job, revealed Gilbert Arenas.

“Tyronn Lue was supposed to have that team,” Arenas said. “Doc sent Tyronn Lue to Philly and lobbied for him. ‘This is your guy, he’s a great coach, and this is gonna be good for you guys.&apos;”



“It was a Game 7, Doc found out he was getting fired,” added Arenas. “He knew he was getting fired, so he called Philly and said, ‘I want the job now.’ You get backdoored like that, nothing good’s gonna happen.”

Of course, we already know that Arenas doesn’t mince his words and has some interesting theories. But it seems like he has his sources and knows exactly what happened, and this is not a good look for the former veteran coach.

“When people have Bill Russell in their top 10, I gotta question your basketball knowledge,” Arenas said. “I’m sorry. Because him and Wilt (Chamberlain) played in the same era. One averaged 50 and 30 rebounds, the other one averaged 16 and 20 rebounds.”



“Which means one was just a hustle player,” continued Arenas. “Like, you hustled against white folks. All you can score was 16 points a game. You couldn’t even break 20 and you want me to put you in the top 10? Everybody’s 5 f***ing 10 and there’s only eight teams and you’re playing against the White folks, right?”

Truth be told, Bill Russell’s era was undeniably the least talented and least professional ever. He was a priviliged athlete, though, and the ultimate winner, so he shouldn’t be blamed for the poor competition he had to face.
