<p>Mike Puma of The New York Post reveals that Jackie Bradley Jr could be the Mets’ new target for this offseason. He is not George Springer but the player can make a good addition to the team, although his fit with the team will be very the hardest part of this move.</p>
<p><em>The Mets, in search of improved defense at the position, have continued talks in recent days with Bradley’s camp, according to multiple sources, after Springer’s decision last week to accept a six-year offer from the Blue Jays worth $150 million.</em></p>
<p><em>Bradley, 30, slashed .283/.364/.450 last season for the Red Sox, who remain in the mix to re-sign him, according to reports. The Astros and Giants have also been linked to Bradley, who won a Gold Glove with the Red Sox in 2018.</em></p>
<p><em>But Bradley is hardly an ideal fit for the Mets given that he bats left-handed and would be playing in an outfield that also includes lefty swingers Michael Conforto and Brandon Nimmo.</em></p>
<p>This could be an interesting addition for the Mets, but as Puma explained, they already have three left-handed players on the outfield. Bradley Jr has been good for the Red Sox and according to Alex Speier of The Boston Globe, they still have hopes to re-sign the player but the Mets could ruin their plans.</p>

<p>On Monday former <strong><a href="https://us.bolavip.com/new-york-mets-t110386" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Mets </a>GM Jared Porter</strong> had admitted to sending text messages to a foreign female correspondent who had moved to the United States to cover the <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/mlb-t48464" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MLB</a>. While Porter did not admit to sending lewd pictures of himself, it was confirmed by ESPN that Porter had in fact sent various unsolicited images and texts to the reporter in 2016.</p>
<p>According to the copy of the text history acquired by ESPN, Porter had sent an inappropriate X-rated image of himself along with 15 photos of the hotel he was staying at and 1 picture of his groin. The female reporter stated at one point she received over 60 messages from Porter, and once she ignored him the messages continued.</p>
<p><strong>Mets owner Steve Cohen</strong> wasted little time, 12 hours approximately, to fire the 41-year-old former GM. Cohen released a statement stating: <em>“I spoke about the importance of integrity and I meant it. There should be zero tolerance for this type of behavior.”</em> It was a promise Cohen made to fans when he bought the team in November to bring back accountability and integrity to the <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/sports/top-25-new-york-sports-teams-with-most-fans-20200429-0003.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Mets</a>.</p>

<p>A couple of hours prior to the officializing of the Mets’ sale to Cohen from the Wilpon family, <strong>Mr. de Blasio is keen to do whatever he can to stop this from happening</strong>, without any major success so far. According to the New York Post, de Blasio is using all his resources to prevent this to be completed.</p>

<p>Mr. de Blasio is doing everything he can to stop this deal to go through;<strong> he still has some hours before it is completed and it doesn’t seem like he’s going to stop until everything is official for the Mets and their new owner.</strong></p>
<p><em>“Bill de Blasio h<strong>as privately told Major League Baseball that he will do everything he can to stop Steve Cohen from buying the Mets.</strong></em></p>
<p><em>“The Post has learned that Hizzoner called MLB commissioner Rob Manfred earlier this month and told him outright that he opposed the idea of a hedge-fund billionaire buying a local team and would be using his oversight power of the city’s control of the Citi Field lease to prevent the sale from being finalized.”</em></p>
<p>New York City Hall replied to this saying the mayor was just doing his job, the “due diligence” before the deal is sealed. Yet, that was denied by the Post, who reported he’s even using his law department to find anything to prevent this sale to be completed.</p>
<p><em>“<strong>The ‘due diligence’ line is bulls–t</strong>,’ a source familiar with City Hall told The Post. ‘He’s told [Major League] Baseball he doesn’t want Cohen and he’s told his Law Department to find a way to stop it.’”</em></p>
<p>It is said that the league continues its plans to vote on Friday even if De Blasio doesn’t formally approve the deal before the deadline. It looks like the mayor is in a race against time and he doesn’t have many chances to win it.</p>
