Ten years later, Zhao was finally the one to break the crystal ceiling again after she received the award thanks to her work for Nomadland, which also won Best Picture. Zhao beat another woman Emerald Fennell, who competed for Promising Young Woman, and Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), David Fincher (Mank), Thomas Vinterberg (Another round).

For the first time, Wolfgang Puck is creating a menu with Bronx-based culinary collective Ghetto Gastro for the Governors Ball, to the official Oscars after-party. Celebrities will be treated to new imaginative dishes in addition to returning favorites including smoked salmon Oscars and spicy tuna cones, according to the event’s press release.
<h2>Let’s talk about the dishes</h2>
Ghetto Gastro is a New York based collective of chefs and food enthusiasts with deep ties to the Bronx that was formed in 2012.The members include, Jon Gray, Pierre Serrao and Lester Walker.
They will be serving the Oscar nominees, presenters, performers and attendees items including ancestral roots waffles with fried chicken and spicy sovereign syrup, trading places cornbread with crab and caviar and field of dreams crispy coconut rice with peas and sweet plantain.
According to People Magazine, “Every year we look to find ways to keep things new, fresh and fun,” Puck said in a statement. “The Oscars Governors Ball is an event where food, fashion, culture, cinema and music collide. To celebrate this convergence, we couldn’t think of a better partner than Ghetto Gastro.”

Last year China also did not broadcast the Oscar Awards, this due to two reasons: the nomination of Do Not Split for Best Documentary Short Film(Since the production revolves around the Hong Kong protests against the Chinese government), and the figure of the filmmaker Chloe Zhao, who raised the award for Best Direction and went so far as to declare in an interview in 2013 that the country governed by Xi Jinping is “a place where there are lies everywhere.“
To this we must add that the relationship between Hollywood and China has not been good last year, since not many films from the American film industry have been released in the country governed by Xi Jinping. As Deadline indicates, of the films nominated for the 2022 Oscars, only Dune, No Time To Die, Charm and Cruella have seen the light in the Asian country. Despite the above, sources from The Hollywood Reporter report that some programs and media will cover the 2022 Oscars, this in some segments of news programs related to the world of cinema.

Steven Spielberg remake of ‘West Side Story‘ was critically acclaimed and it’s competing for seven categories at the 2022 Oscars, including Best Picture. Zegler, portrayed the lead character Maria in the film, receiving good reviews from her performance.
For her work as Maria, Rachel won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, being the first Colombian descent actress to do so. <h2>2022 Oscars: The 94th Academy Awards are coming back to the Dolby Theater</h2>
This year, the Oscars are coming back to their usual location since 2002: the Dolby Theater Hollywood &amp; Highland Center in Los Angeles. However, the Oscars have been celebrated in many locations throughout the years since the first edition, celebrated in 1929.
The first edition was presented at a private dinner hosted in The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.However, from 1930 to 1943, the ceremony was held alternately between two venues: the Ambassador Hotel on Wilshire Boulevard and the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
The ceremony was also held in the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood (1944-46), Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles (1947-48), the Academy Award Theater (1949), Hollywood’s Pantages Theatre (1950-60), and even, simultaneously between New York and Los Angeles during from 1953-57 at the NBC International Theater and the NBC Century Theater.
Other venues have been the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the Los Angeles County Music Center. This year’s ceremony will have protocols against Covid-19, as people attending the 2022 Oscars will be required to be vaccinated, per Vulture.

However, one of its stars won’t be able to be at the ceremony, Rachel Zegler.
Zegler, 20, portrayed the lead character Maria in the film, receiving good reviews from her performance. The actress is set to star as Snow White in the upcoming Disney’s live-action remake of the classic fairy-tale.
For her work as Maria, Zegler won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, being the first Colombian descent actress to do so. Unfortunately, she didn’t receive any nominations for the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/offside/oscars-2022-no-more-jokes-for-amy-schumer-20220318-0019.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Oscars</a> and she has revealed she won’t be attending the ceremony.

Commenting on an Instagram fan comment talking about the excitement to see the dress she would wear at the Academy Awards, Zegler said that she wasn’t going to be in the ceremony as she wasn’t invited.“I’m not invited, so sweatpants and my boyfriend’s flannel,” said Zegler in response to the comment.
“I have tried it all but it doesn’t seem to be happening,” Zegler wrote in her reply.“I will root for West Side Story from my couch and be proud of the work we so tirelessly did 3 years ago. I hope some last minute miracle occurs and I can celebrate with our film in person but hey, that’s how it goes sometimes – I’m disappointed, too. But that’s okay. So proud of our movie,” she added.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the studios behind nominated films determine the entries for Best Picture nominees, while circumstances are different for presenters. However, in a series of tweets, Zegler seemed to clear the air about anotherreason of why she can’t assits, seemingly referring toprotocols she must follow while shooting a project in London.

Amy Schumer has already began to prepare her role as an “<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/offside/jane-campions-movies-all-her-feature-films-20220314-0039.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Oscar</a>” hostand in an interview with The View, the comedian said that her lawyer suggested not say everything she had planned due to the heavy nature of her comedy.
Schumer added, “Coming out of this pandemic, I really want to act. I’m really excited to do this, and I’m also, you know, a heavy comedian.I consulted my lawyer and he said: ‘You can’t say half of those things,’ so the ones I can say, I will!”

During the show, he also asked the actress Whoopi Goldberg, who has hosted the Academy Awards in the past, for advice on how to run the event. Goldberg added, “Go have a good time. Don’t read anything, stay away from the Internet, don’t read it two days before and don’t read it two days after. Everyone thinks it’s the easiest job in the world, and it’s not. If you have fun, they will have a good time too.”
