We already have so many games to play every year, so many tough weeks, not only matches because we have a lot of weeks of preparation whether for the season or for big tournaments”. Lewandowski continued, “If we want to offer something a little different, which breaks the routine, it is also necessary to take breaks… If we have a World Cup every two years, the period where footballers will be able to play at a high level will decrease. It is physically and psychologically impossible. If you want to last in football, you need resting periods.”</em></p>

We are happy to play, but when it’s too much, it is too much. If you want to have quality, you have to allow the players to rest. The second is the greatest goal in the history of the World Cup.</p>
<p>On June 22, 1986, <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/argentina-t30" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Argentina</a> and England met in a heated confrontation in the 1986 World Cup. The quarterfinals match was the <strong>first meeting between the two countries in a major tournament after the Falklands Island War. </strong>The play in question took place at the end of the first half, the game was tied 0-0 and Maradona was able to pass the ball to his teammate Jorge Valdano. Valdano tried to dribble past various English defenders, but the ball was intercepted and that is where Maradona came into play.</p>
<p>Maradona, who had been offsides when the ball was played, but the ball came off an English player which kept him onside, was able to jump up and anticipate the English goalkeeper Peter Shilton. He used his left arm to hit the ball into the English net and ran out celebrating, the goal stood, and the <strong>“Hand of God</strong>” was born.</p>

<p><strong>While Costa Rica had a very competitive team with key players playing in Europe when matching them against the other three nations pundits were hard-pressed to give Costa Rica a chance of qualification.</strong> They would be competitive and may even get a result, but the stars would need to align in order to qualify from the group.</p>
<p>The stars did in fact align and <strong>Costa Rica surprised everyone in the world qualifying first in Group D, undefeated </strong>and going on a spectacular quarterfinal run, which would make them the darlings of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.</p>

<h2>Surviving the Group of Death</h2>
<p>Costa Rica’s improbable World Cup run began with their opening group match against Uruguay. Uruguay had come in after a remarkable 2010 World Cup and after winning the 2011 Copa America. Things did not get off to a good start for the CONCACAF nation as Edinson Cavani converted a penalty to go into halftime 1-0 in Uruguay’s favor. <strong>In the second half things would start clicking, a much faster Costa Rica side caused havoc on the slower Uruguayan flank, Joel Campbell tied the match at 1, and Óscar Duarte scored off a header to give the Ticos a 2-1 lead.</strong> A shocked Uruguay could provide little answers as Marco Ureña made it 3–1 and took home the early and much needed three points.</p>

<p>In their second match against Italy, the Italians played much tighter and held Costa Rica, while <strong>late in the first half Bryan Ruiz scored off a header to give Costa Rica the lead.</strong> In the second half, Costa Rica held on and would become the second nation to beat two former World Cup champions in the Group stage of the World Cup. They would also qualify for the knockout stage, for the first time since 1990.</p>
<p>Against England, the match was forgettable, with Costa Rica qualified to the next round and England eliminated after their loss to Uruguay both teams would play a boring 0-0 match. <strong>None the less the result was a massive achievement for a CONCACAF team, it marked the first time Costa Rica ended a World Cup Group stage undefeated.</strong></p>

<p>As you may know by now, most of the action of the 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place in<strong>Doha</strong>, the nation’s capital. Established in1825, it helda population of2,382,000 people as of 2018.</p>
<p>This beautiful city is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, and its quick economicand political expansion has made it one of the most luxurious places on earth. <strong>Its name comes from the Arabic term “dohat”, with means “roundness.</strong></p>

<p>North of Doha, we’ll find the beautiful coastal town of <strong>Al-Wakrah</strong>, right at the edge of the eastern side of the Persian Gulf. Originally conceived as a port town and mostly focused on fishing and sea-related ventures, it’s now Qatar’s second-largest city.</p>
<p>Even though Al-Wakrah is one of the most impotrant cities in the nation, it holdsa population of just87,970 people as of 2015. It also has plenty of touristic venues, <strong>such as theWakrah Trade Center andWakrah Sands.</strong></p>

<p>Contrary to popular belief, <strong>Al-Rayyan and Doha aren’t the same.</strong> As a matter of fact, Al-Rayyan is the third-largest municipality in the nation, and even though it’s pretty close to Doha, it’s more of a suburb than an actual part of the city.</p>
<p><strong>Al-Rayyan City</strong> went through a major expansion to bring together the ‘Old’ and ‘New’ parts of the city, combining the traditional villages with the top-tier luxurious venues where Qatar’s wealthiest people live.</p>

<p><strong>Al-Khor City’s</strong>name comes from the word ‘creek’, asthe original settlements of the town were originally over a creek. Now, it’s one of the biggest cities in the country thanks to its huge oil industry.</p>
<p>Despite its massive growth and wealth, Al-Khor City isn’t exactly the most populated area of the nation. In fact, most of its inhabitants are workers from the oil industry. Still, it has plenty of historical venues all tourists would love to visit,<strong> like the Al-Khor Towers.</strong></p>

<p>Also known as<strong>Madinat ash Shamal</strong>, this city is one of the most modern in the Arab world, thus it doesn’t strike us as a surprise that it was chosen to host some of the most important matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.</p>
<p>Its name literally translates<strong>“city of the north”,</strong> and while it isn’t the largest or most populated city in the country, it’s definitely one of the most luxurious. The “Qatar National Master Plan” projects Al-Shamal will be one of the richest cities on earth by 2030.</p>
