The Cleveland Browns do not seem entirely committed to the No. 6 overall pick in the upcoming draft. General manager Andrew Berry has now confirmed that a trade down is possible, with the Dallas Cowboys emerging as potential frontrunners to move into their position.

The 2026 NFL Draft is just around the corner, and teams are making final adjustments to determine if their current draft slot is ideal. Naturally, the top 10 picks are the most coveted assets on the board.

In recent days, Jerry Jones confirmed that the Cowboys could trade up. Andrew Berry has now given them hope, as the Browns’ GM is officially open to hearing offers for the No. 6 overall selection.

No. 6 overall is good, but the Cowboys may want more

As of today, the Cowboys hold two first-round picks (No. 12 and No. 20 overall). While Berry’s statement has opened a door for Dallas to move up to No. 6, they may be aiming for an even higher position.

According to reports, the Cowboys could be interested in trading up specifically to ruin the New York Giants’ plans. This would require a trade with either the Raiders, Jets, Cardinals, or Titans, all of whom currently sit above New York in the draft order.

The Raiders are not expected to give up the No. 1 overall pick, as they are set to draft Fernando Mendoza. However, rumors suggest that the following three clubs are not entirely committed to their positions, offering the Cowboys a chance to leapfrog even further up the board.

Dallas may have another trade offer for Cleveland

Last year, the Cowboys parted ways with Micah Parsons and were reportedly interested in acquiring another elite pass rusher. But which team has a top-tier edge rusher rumored to be unhappy? The Browns.

While official reports state that Myles Garrett will “100%” stay with the Browns, rumors regarding his potential exit have gained momentum. If the No. 6 overall pick is not part of the deal, the Cowboys may be prepared to make an offer for the veteran pass rusher instead of the first-round pick.
