The reason? Poland sent too many <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/sports/tokyo-2020-swimming-events-at-summer-olympics-20210718-0007.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">swimmers</a> to the Games.
The PZP, Poland’s swimming federation, was forced to send six athletes home after bringing 23 swimmers to the competition. The problem is that FINA, swimming’s international governing body, rules that the number of participants has to be 17.
After the initial shock, the athletes have reacted and the majority of the swimming team is asking for the resignation of the PZP directive board. Pawel Slominski, president of the Polish federation, said he understood the reaction. But how did this happen?

According to the statement from Slominski, the mistake was due to the “desire to allow as many players and coaches as possible to take part in the Games”. As Yahoo Sport reports, the country had several relay teams qualify for the Olympics through the regular processes, but they also sent six “B standard” swimmers to compete in individual events.
Slominski also explained that the federation didn’t have “clear guidance” from the FINA if the six “B standard” swimmers were qualified for the Games or not until July 14, where the athletes have already flown to Tokyo. “I express great regret, sadness and bitterness about the situation,” said in the statement.

Reuters reports that the swimmers who had to left the team were Alicja Tchórz, Bartosz Piszczorowicz, Aleksandra Polańska, Mateusz Chowaniec, Dominika Kossakowska and Jan Holub. Tchórz, who competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, expressed her anger on social media.

Chess was recognized as a sport in the 1920s by theInternational Olympic Committee(IOC). However,Chess is not widely regarded as a sport, unfortunately, because it doesn’t include actual athleticism. By definition, a sport is an activity in which the body is subjected to some form of physical activity. Thus, many people believe that “physical fitness”is lacking in Chess.
Chess demands the player to be above their mental strength, yet playing a match, theydon’t engage in any intense physical exercise. In 1999 when it came closest to being included in the Olympics.The idea was for Chess to be included in the Paris 1924 Games but it was eventually excluded, it was difficult to distinguishamateur from professional players. It took 75 years for Chess to be relevant to the Olympic authorities,as, in 1999, it was closest tobeing included in the Olympics.
Furthermore, the IOC have also acknowledged the World Chess Federation (FIDE). The 2014 Chess Olympiad, held in Norway, included players from around 170 nations fighting for top honors. Today’s race will bring another chapter of the Hamilton-Verstappen rivalry. On Friday, Hamilton was the fastest of the qualifying for the Sprint. But that didn’t help him on Saturday, as Verstappen made the better getaway. Valtteri Bottas, on the other hand, will start third.
The three of them also won points for the Driver’s championship. Verstappen, who also is atop of the standings, won three, Hamilton two and Bottas one. After two days of thrill and excitement with the new format, the British GP promises a great ending.

While the attention was rightfully in the fight for the top between Hamilton and Verstappen, other drivers also enjoyed the new format for qualifying. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari has had a solid weekend so far, and will start fourth tomorrow. His teammate, Carlos Sainz, however, didn’t have the same luck, as he collided with George Russell on the first lap but the Spanishdid a great job to recover.
Meanwhile, Sergio Perez had to retire from the race after spinning out of the track. Fernando Alonso, of Alpine, also had an impressive start in the Sprint and will start seventh after starting in the P11. Kimmi Raikkonen also won big with the new format, jumping from P17 to P13.
Sainz, Russell and Sebastian Vettelwere under investigation. While Russell received a three-place grid penaltyfor causing the collision that pushed Sainz out of the race in the first lap, the Ferrari driver also has been called to the Stewards after joining the track in an unsafe manner. Vettel, on the other hand, has to explain why he didn’t follow the instructions of the race director in the practice.

At 14 years old, Nadia Comaneci achieved perfection. She made it to the Montreal Olympics to go down in history after hitting the perfect 10 on the uneven bars and after that, she couldn’t stop doing it. The Romanian gymnast continued to add perfect grades to win three gold medals.
She also climbed to the top of the podium in the individual all-around and balance beam competitions, addingto her achievements a medal silver and a bronze to close the 1976 Games as the most outstanding athlete by winning five medals at ayoung age.
Four years later, at the 1980 Moscow Games, Comaneci added two more gold medals to herlegacy.
