“We certainly understand where he’s coming from. We’d like him to be out there. It’s important for him to be out there. … But as of now, until we get that resolved, he will not be practicing. He’ll be taking part in… He reported last week, he’s taking part in everything else,” Gutekunst added.

For Jacobs, losing was not part of his career plan. The two-time Pro Bowler admitted that, besides not winning games, the club wanted him to lower his salary expectations despite being the best offensive player on the roster.



“Then, the most frustrating thing about it all, you’ve got me, and Tae (Davante Adams) and Maxx (Crosby), you’ve got guys who come in every day and work hard, and you don’t get the results,” Jacobs said. “You’ll be close every year, but (we’re) not winning. You want me to come back on a discount and lose? I don’t know how I feel about that.”

Jacobs didn’t have a great 2023 season with the Raiders, but his 2022 campaign was outstanding. That year, he led the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a> in rushing yards with 1,653, added 400 receiving yards, and scored 12 touchdowns.



“Just to be able to come out and actually show that I can catch the ball more,” Jacobs said. “Not just that but trusting me enough to be able to pick up protections. It’s just so special when you got a guy like Jordan Love back there, and you can’t really just load the box every play, and you make defenses decide what they want to stop. I think that’s going to be the biggest help for me this year.”

With Jordan Love making a great impression in the first year since Aaron Rodgers left, the franchise is looking forward to seeing the Utah State product reach new heights in his second season as QB1.



While many are concerned the lack of a clear No. 1 option at wide receiver to help the young quarterback, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/jordan-love">Love</a> doesn’t look worried at all. In fact, he suggested it’s even better for him not to have an undisputed WR1.



“I think you don’t have to have a No. 1 receiver,” Love said, via Pro Football Talk. “I think it works out well when you can spread the ball out and you got different guys making different plays and you can put ‘em in different areas. I think it puts a lot more stress on the defense and the calls that they can get in, so I think in the long run it helps us not having a No. 1 guy, a true No. 1 guy, but I think all those guys can step up and be the one any given day.”



Love has a fair point, but many will still find it hard to agree with the 25-year-old about this. Even so, the Packers’ front office will probably want to take note of the quarterback’s recent comments.

After all, he’s the one who leads the offense every week. And if for some reason Love believes things are better the way they are, the executives should trust him. “You know what I think it is? I’ve talked to Tom Brady about this because he’s a good mentor to me. What he told me is his teammates, and how he treats his teammates. In an appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar explained that <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/green-bay-packers">Green Bay</a> was right in having Love on the bench before finally handing him the reins of the offense.



“He had Aaron Rodgers to watch,” Brady said on the show, as quoted by CBS Sports. “That’s the best type of training, in my opinion. Watch someone else do it at a very high level, and then try to emulate them with your own personality.”



A first round pick out of Utah State in 2020, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/jordan-love">Love</a> sat behind Aaron Rodgers for three years before he got the starting job. His first season as a starter was quite impressive, as he led the Packers to a deep playoff run that included a surprise win over the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card.

<h2>Adams Praises Jordan Love </h2>



This isn’t the first time that fans have dreamt about having Adams back on the team. A couple of weeks ago, he raved about Jordan Love and admitted that he would’ve liked to play with him:



“In hindsight, like we talked about, the kid is a fucking baller, man. I’m so happy for him,” Adams told Maxx Crosby on his podcast. “I haven’t had the chance to truly sit down and talk with him, but I want to tell him at some point ‘I definitely don’t regret changing, but I’m super proud of what you’ve done. If there was a way I could pull you over here and drag you with me that would have been cool too.’ Because, obviously, we saw what he did at the end of the year. I don’t regret what I did, but, at the same time, it’s definitely you look back on it like ‘damn that boy kind of balling right now.’”

Even so, Adams and Raiders players seem to be quite high on Antonio Pierce, and it doesn’t seem like he has any intention whatsoever of getting back to Wisconsin, at least for the time being.
