Known for making everybody around them stand out, these quarterbacks have had their fair share of superstar weapons, though.



Both Mahomes and <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/tom-brady">Brady</a> have shown their respect for each other and often times envied their accolades. One could only imagine what the 7x Super Bowl champ would look like surrounded by Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, as well as fantasize on a hypothetical Mahomes-Rob Gronkowski linkup with Bill Belichick calling the shots from the sideline.



However, none of these were the focus of Mahomes’ fantasy in the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a>. Instead, he opted for a former teammate of Brady who never got to win a Super Bowl on the Patriots. Or anywhere, ever.



“It’d definitely be Randy Moss,” Mahomes told the NFL’s social media when asked about a retired player he wishes could play alongside him. “Just because I feel like I’d be able to throw the ball extremely far and he’d be able to run it down and catch a lot of touchdowns.”

Patrick Mahomes and Randy Moss would be a match made in heaven. <h2>The only players who have shared the huddle with Mahomes and Brady</h2>



Brady and Mahomes are arguably the two greatest quarterbacks of this generation, and possibly in NFL history, but only a handful of offensive players can brag about playing alongside both of them. These players in question, however, are not the biggest names in the business and some have not shared the same success as their huddle leaders.



Joe Thuney has shared the gridiron with Brady and Mahomes but unlike any other player in this list, he did not catch a football from the quarterbacks but rather the opposite, since he played center. Still, Thuney definitely had the most success out of every fellow Mahomes and Brady teammates. He won two Super Bowls in New England and, following a trade to <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/kansas-city-chiefs">Kansas City</a>, he added two more to his résumé. As it stands, he boasts one more ring than Mahomes.

No other player has had that balanced success playing with Mahomes and Brady. Wide receiver Josh Gordon, for instance, caught footballs from both quarterbacks but his impact was not memorable whatsoever. He did earn a place in this list where only a few belong.



LeSean McCoy had his dream come true as he played for the Chiefs and Buccaneers in his last two seasons, respectively. The running back won consecutive Super Bowls with Kansas City in 2020 and the Bucs in 2021, even though he did not play a single snap in either championship game.

The start of the preseason for a Patriots team in the midst of a rebuild has yielded one win and one loss so far. Both games took place at Gillette Stadium: the debut was a victory against the Carolina Panthers, 17-3, while last weekend saw a narrow defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, 13-14.



Next Sunday, August 25, Mayo and the Patriots will travel to Washington to face the Commanders, with the primary goal of finalizing preparations for the season opener, regardless of the final outcome of the game.



Without a doubt, the most important task for the head coach as the season approaches is to decide who will be the starting quarterback. Mayo has yet to make a decision, choosing between the extensive NFL experience of Brissett or taking a chance on rookie Drake Maye, formerly of North Carolina.

The primary goal moving forward is to improve upon last season’s disappointing campaign. The New England team ended with a lackluster 4-13 record, which naturally placed them at the bottom of the AFC East standings.

<h2>Brissett made his stance on the situation clear</h2>



While uncertainties remain about the starting lineup the Patriots will field in their season opener against the Bengals, one player who is certain to be in the lineup from the start is former Browns and Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett.



“I still treat myself as if I’m the starter. I can’t worry about that,” Brissett told reporters. “I just go out there and do my job. I’ve been in this league long enough, and a lot of crazy things have happened in my career so far, and I wouldn’t be shocked by anything. But at the same time, I’m enjoying this process, putting my best foot forward, and just letting the chips fall where they may. . . . I don’t really worry about the competition.”, when asked about competition with Maye.



<h2>Mayo has yet to decide between Brissett and Maye</h2>

Although it seems that Brissett would be the likely starter, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/jerod-mayo">Mayo</a> remained optimistic about Maye’s progress at the position: “Right now it’s all going the right way, right direction, and hopefully he continues to get better.”

<h2>The complicated ending to the Brady-Belichick era in New England</h2>

During the team’s 14-13 loss to the Eagles in Week 2 of the preseason, Boutte caught three out of four passes for 23 yards, with a remarkable catch following a poor throw by Drake Maye.



“He’s making a great case,” head coach Jerod Mayo said about Boutte. “Seems like every day he’s making plays. He runs good routes. He has good hands. The run after, the catchability, it’s all there. Now, it’s about gaining the trust not only of your teammates but also the coaches. So, he definitely has a chance.“

In January, Boutte was arrested in Baton Rouge on allegations of gambling and computer fraud while he was at LSU. He posted a $6,000 bond and was released, but reports indicate that the investigations are still ongoing.

Bill Belichick has failed to land a new coaching gig for the 2024 <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a> season after leaving the New England Patriots last year. However, one of his former players sees the legendary coach replacing Mike McCarthy at the helm of the Dallas Cowboys in 2025.



Retired cornerback Asante Samuel, who won two Super Bowls in Foxborough on Belichick’s watch between 2003 and 2007, believes <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/dallas-cowboys">Cowboys</a> owner Jerry Jones will hire the former Patriots coach once McCarthy’s deal runs out at the end of the season.



“Jerry Jones, he loves his players, he treats them right. Something’s going on this year, and I think that leads to next year, to say Bill Belichick will be the head coach for the Dallas Cowboys,” Samuel said on ESPN Radio, via NY Post.

“And it ultimately comes down to Jerry Jones. And Jerry Jones wants to win a [Super] Bowl. For him to get that Bowl, his options are running out. And that last option for him to make this thing come to light is Bill Belichick,” Samuel added.

<h2>McCarthy in a make-or-break year with Cowboys</h2>

Even though he’s expected to sit behind Matthew Stafford this year, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/jimmy-garoppolo">Garoppolo</a> seems to be happier with his role in LA right now than with his previous teams. That’s what he suggested in an interview with The Athletic.



“This place allows you to be yourself, too, which is different than other places I’ve been,” Garoppolo said. “You’re getting pressed with a sense of urgency but in a good way. Obviously, everyone wants to win. Everyone wants to perform well. They do it in the right way here. They push you positively. There’s just a lot of good things going on, man. I’m enjoying every bit of it. Even the meetings are a good time. Everything is going good right now.”



Jimmy G was drafted by the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/new-england-patriots">Patriots</a> in 2014, but with Tom Brady above him, he left for the Niners in 2017. Garoppolo didn’t mention the teams, so it’s unclear whether he was referring to all “the places” he’s been or only a few. Even so, he had something to say about his rollercoaster journey in the NFL in general.



“It was chaotic at times, but they’re all learning experiences,” Garoppolo said. “That’s one thing I’ve taken from this. The NFL is crazy, man. Everyone has got a story. Everyone is going whichever way trying to make it. But at the end of the day, it’s your story, and you’ve got to make the best of it. Good, bad, or indifferent, whatever happened in the past, it happened. . . . Now I’m here, and I’m just trying to make every day the best day.”

Even though he’s excited about this change in his career, the veteran quarterback will have to wait to be on the gridiron. <h2>The arrival of a former Patriot in Minnesota</h2>



A new addition to the Vikings’ roster for the upcoming season is imminent. The player in question is none other than cornerback <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/stephon-gilmore">Stephon Gilmore</a>, formerly of the New England Patriots.



Most recently with the Dallas Cowboys, Gilmore, who previously won a championship with Tom Brady, has also played for the Indianapolis Colts, among others. His arrival in Minneapolis is expected in the coming days, with a meeting scheduled with the management on Monday.

The search for a new quarterback has been difficult for New England. The Mac Jones experiment turned out to be a complete disaster, leading the team to trade him to the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this year.

The veteran wideout signed a 3-year, $25.5 million contract last offseason, but his first year in New England fell far short of expectations.

The former Chiefs player struggled with injuries, participating in only 11 games and playing 65% of the snaps. This move saves the Patriots $647,059 against the cap, while carrying a dead-money charge of $2.63 million for next year.

The release of JuJu Smith-Schuster came as a big surprise to everyone. According to reports, the AFC East team is looking to rejuvenate its roster, and the 27-year-old wideout is not part of their future plans.
