“When I watch quarterbacks, the first thing I watch is, does he endear himself to his teammates? What are the things that he’s saying? What are the things that he’s doing to endear himself to his teammates? So, that he does feel like one of the guys. If he wants to separate himself from the rest of the team, you’re not gonna play twenty years,” Brady said.



Brady knew he couldn’t win on his own — no one can. That’s why being there for his teammates and being one more of the gang despite his superstar status meant so much to him.



“The only way you’re gonna play is your teammates! ‘Cause there’s only so much you can do — there’s so many things I sucked at. “I loved when the jokes were about me, I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way it affected my kids,” Brady said on The Pivot. “It’s the hardest part about — the bittersweet aspect of — when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize, I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected, actually, the people that I care about the most in the world.”



The legendary quarterback got plenty of money to be out there; Netflix definitely made it worth his time. Still, some of the jokes didn’t sit well with his ex-wife, as she felt they were uncalled-for and out of line — which is the actual point of a roast.

Of course, wheteher he was joking or not is something we might never know, but it may have felt great to take that off his chest. At the end of the day, he did win multiple Super Bowls with properly inflated footballs as well.



Brady and the Patriots had the league in a chokehold for two decades. Then, he went on to prove the doubters wrong again by winning another Super Bowl without Bill Belichick.

“I love Tom, and the door is always open if he wants to come in here and coach,” the coach said on WEEI. “But as far as going on the field, I don’t know. But if he comes in here, once again, going back to the ‘hey, the best player will play,’ you’ve gotta come in here in compete, and he loves competition. “I’ve looked, if I played until Tom [Brady]’s age, my daughter would be 19, 20 years old,” Mahomes said. “I would love to play that long.



“I want to be there for my daughter. If I can do that, I’ll continue to play. But if I feel like it’s taking away from my family time, that’s when I’ll know it’s time to go.”

Even with two remarkable seasons, that loss triggered a lot of rumors about the short term future of Brock Purdy.

<h2>Brock Purdy doesn’t pay attention to critics</h2>



During a special appearance in The Pat McAfee Show, Brock Purdy was asked about all the critics who want him out of the San Francisco 49ers. His answer was tremendous. 


 

 


“As long as we’re winning games, it really doesn’t matter. That’s how I look at it. It’s a thing obviously. It’s part of the sport. People are always gonna have a talking point. That’s fine, but for me all I care about is the respect of the guys in the locker room, coaches and staff. They see how I handle business here and how I perform in games and what’s on the film rather than just feelings, opinions and emotions.”

<h2>Will Brock Purdy get a contract extension with 49ers?</h2>



Yes. Even with Tom Brady’s statement, there’s no sign at the moment that Purdy’s future will change. In fact, Jed York, CEO of the&nbsp;49ers&nbsp;already confirmed a contract extension is in the works.



“It’s a good problem when your quarterback is one of the highest-paid guys on your team and in the league. It’s what the market is. Brock is going to ask for something that no one has ever asked for before. I don’t know how many players are making over $40 million as a quarterback right now.”

That’s what the market is and you have to accept the reality of the world. To me, the quarterback is the most important position not just in football, but all of sports, and those guys should be paid a lot of money.”
