<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/tom-brady">Tom Brady</a> could return to the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a>. Believe it or not, the legend has shaken the world of sports with his recent statements in an interview on the famous ‘Deep Cut’ podcast with Vic Blends.



“I’m not opposed to it. I don’t know if they’re gonna let me if I become an owner of an NFL team. I don’t know. I’m always gonna be in good shape. I’m always gonna be able to throw the ball. So to come in for a little bit like MJ coming back? I don’t know if they’d let me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”



The challenge for Brady would be enormous trying to stop <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/patrick-mahomes">Patrick Mahomes</a> and the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/kansas-city-chiefs">Kansas City Chiefs</a>, who have become the modern dynasty that took the place of the New England Patriots. 



It’s worth noting that the veteran is already 46 years old and his return would be something never before seen considering his age. However, to make things even spicier, Brady threw down a tremendous challenge on social media to ensure he would come out of retirement.

<h2>Tom Brady would return to the NFL</h2>



Through his official X account, Tom Brady responded to a hilarious message from the New England Patriots in which the former quarterback appeared with long hair wearing the team’s uniform with which he won the Super Bowl six times. It all was related to the interview with famous barber, Vic Blends.


 

 


“Just a little off the top @TomBrady?” was the message from the Pats’s social media account. Then, the answer by the legend left everyone in awe. “50k likes and i’ll u̶n̶r̶e̶t̶i̶r̶e̶ grow it back out.”

During a special appearance on the ‘Deep Cut’ podcast with Vic Blends, Tom Brady mentioned three specific teams for which he might come out of retirement if he receives a call during the 2024 season.


 

 


Blends presented a scenario in which the 49ers lost their quarterback, Brock Purdy, due to injury, and Brady received an emergency call to replace him in the late stages of the season. At that moment, Tom talked about two other teams, the Raiders and the Patriots, admitting that he wouldn’t rule out returning to the NFL.

Defensive back Logan Ryan became the latest champion to hang up his cleats, announcing Tuesday he’s calling it a career after 11 seasons. Selected in the third round of the 2013 draft, Ryan helped the Pats win the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/super-bowl">Super Bowl</a> in 2015 and 2017.



After four seasons in Foxborough, the Rutgers product spent three years with the Tennessee Titans before playing for the New York Giants in 2020 and 2021. “Shout out to the New England Patriots. Thank you for drafting me, believing in me, making me a two-time Super Bowl champion,” Ryan said. “Thank you to the Tennessee Titans for bringing me down there, becoming a franchise player, and supporting RARF — my animal foundation was birthed there and you guys took that in. We did so much on and off the field with the playoff runs.

In a video shared on social media to announce his retirement, Ryan was thankful to all five franchises he played for, with a special message to the Patriots, Titans, Giants, Bucs and Niners.



“The New York Giants, bringing me home back to New Jersey during the COVID years,” he continued. “Literally saving my wife’s life. Thank you so much to the training staff and organization for saving my wife, Ashley. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I found my forever home here. My kids are raised, growing up in Florida. They have stability, which meant so much to me as a father.



“And finally, the San Francisco 49ers for bringing me off the cruise last season, joining a great organization and a great coaching staff and a great locker room, to go on the run that we had. 11 seasons, six championship games, three Super Bowl appearances, and ultimately, two Super Bowl rings is what we do it for.“

At 33, Ryan joins a list of former Super Bowl champions with the Patriots who stepped away from the gridiron. While the likes of Brady and Gronk did it before, this offseason also saw Matthew Slater and Malcolm Butler, who formed a great cornerback duo with Ryan, retire from football.

Curiously, Ryan picked off Brady’s last pass in a New England Patriots uniform for the only touchdown in his career, helping the Tennessee Titans win that 2020 AFC Wild-Card game.

When <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/tom-brady">Tom Brady</a> left the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/new-england-patriots">New England Patriots</a> for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, he had only one goal: to win more Super Bowls. He knew he couldn’t do it all on his own, which is why he brought some help with him.



The legendary quarterback convinced Rob Gronkowski to change his mind about retiring to start a new chapter in <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/tampa-bay-buccaneers">Tampa</a>, but it seems that the tight end wasn’t the only player he called.



In an appearance on “The Rush with Maxx Crosby” podcast, Julian Edelman revealed Brady wanted him on board at the Bucs. But unlike Gronk, the former wideout turned down the invitation.



“He (Brady) would joke around about leaving with me for like four years. So this time, I was like, ‘Boy crying wolf,’” Edelman said, via Sports Illustrated. “He left. He hit me up when he left, and he goes, ‘Hey baby, you want me to get you down here?’ I said, ‘Nah, I’m good, bro. I’m a one-team man.’”

We’re talking about Jacoby Brissett, who spent his rookie season behind <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/tom-brady">Tom Brady</a> in Foxborough.



According to NFL Insider Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, the Patriots are interested in a potential reunion with the veteran quarterback, who could be helpful if the team lands a rookie signal-caller in the upcoming draft.



“Not Franchise Tag related, but the Patriots’ interest in Jacoby Brissett is real,” Volin wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “They’ll have competition for him, but OC Alex Van Pelt loved coaching Brissett in Cleveland in 2022 and the Patriots view him as a great locker room guy who is all about football.”



<h2>Brissett’s experience and connection with the Patriots</h2>



Brissett, 31, is hitting the open market after spending the 2023 season with the Washington Commanders. Before his stint in the capital city, he spent time with the Indianapolis Colts (2017-2020), <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/miami-dolphins">Miami Dolphins</a> (2021), and Cleveland Browns (2022).

It was in the latter where he met Alex Van Pelt, who is now taking charge of the Patriots’ offense for the 2024 campaign. That season, Brissett made quite an impression by throwing for 2,608 yards with 12 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 11 starts.

In his lone season in New England as a third-round rookie out of NC State, the Florida native got to start two games with Brady suspended for the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/the-true-story-behind-tom-brady-and-the-deflategate-scandal-20200915-0014.html">Deflategate scandal</a> and Jimmy Garoppolo out due to a shoulder injury.



In his two starts for the Patriots in 2016, Brissett completed 34 of 55 passes for 400 yards, with no touchdowns nor interceptions, but fumbled the ball three times. He got a <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/super-bowl">Super Bowl</a> ring though, as the Pats went on to win the championship against the Atlanta Falcons in February 2017.



<h2>Patriots may need a bridge QB in 2024</h2>



Brissett couldn’t establish himself as a starter in the following years. But his reputation as a solid backup plus his experience in the league could be exactly what New England might be looking for this year.



With the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on their hands, the Patriots are expected to select one of the top quarterbacks of this year’s class. Therefore, a seasoned quarterback like Brissett could be what both the rookie and the team need this season.
